    Hi there,
I went to Utah this past weekend, and while we were off road I came up on a sand dune a little too fast.
We noticed that the front bumper is not "clipped" in anymore. We tried pushing it back in, but we're thinking that the clips broke. There are no dents in the bumper.
Anyone know if this is something we can fix at home? Can the clips be bought and replaced?

    Thanks in advance!

You should be able to buy the clips at Toyota. Maybe even a local auto parts store. Just take one out and bring it with you.

Is it the whole bumper? or just the front cover? In the OR, the front cover is black, I think in Sports yours are color matched. If its just the front cover, that's a bitch to get back in. you prob messed up your clips, which are molded into the whole cover (not replaceable). I speak from experience.

I think it's the front cover.
Where the license plate holder is attached to.
I can take a picture later today and post it.

yeah if its the front cover, those tabs are molded into the cover itself (not separate piece). Once they are damaged, you're kinda SOL. I too ripped mine off in the dirt. I ended up gluing the piece back into place, knowing that eventually i'll prob get a new bumber. The front cover itself is about $120 to replace from Toyota. good luck.

time for a lo profile/stealth bumper replacement. unless you want to pay $100+ for a replacement plastic piece.

I think if the tabs are not broken it should push/snap back in. My memory is that most tabs are molded and just snap in. There are two tabs at each lower edge that are U-shaped and have separate blue clips that secure them. That bumper piece can be removed to inspect pretty easily and, if still intact, can just be put back on. Those two blue clips are the challenge. I used this video for reference when I replaced mine.

We did try to push and see if we could snap it back into place, but it was a no go.
Thanks for the video link! Maybe I will take the grill off and see if the clips are broken.

Blackout package - planned: black bed logos, black wheel vinyls, front seat window tint, tires.
Mine was like that from the factory. They tried to replace the front cover, but the issue is with the actual bumper cover itself The receiver for the tab is broken and the whole bumper cover needs to be replaced

Yikes! That lower valance isn’t the tightest fitting piece ever made but it should snap in tighter than the OP’s. Hopefully it’s the valance clips rather than the bumper that needs replacing.

The middle portion of those tabs can get bent so they don't go back in.

I own 2 2018 trucks and they have not been off road, they haven't hit anything, yet both bumpers are doing the same thing. Tells me this is a flaw from factory...anyone take it to the dealership for warranty yet? What was the outcome?

It's completely "normal". Just cheap Toyota plastic and everyone's does it if you search

Edit yours looks particularly bad, mine doesnt separate from the license plate bracket. Everyone's just separate from the two outside clips

Talked to dealership today and they said I must have hit something.another words they ain't fixin. I told them I never hit anything with either truck and no marks at all show that.

Just teasing Maria, but what about the Valance underneath. Did it not get pushed up or damaged?
