Anyone mount an antenna at all to the front yet?

I'm planning on eventually getting a front winch bumper either in the summer or next spring (depending on money), not a problem for mount then as I can just mount to any of the bars, but thinking for now anyone have any way to mount to the front?

thats the bumper I'm planning on getting so in the future it won't be an issue.

My only concern is now, before I have the bumper a way to mount it.

Wondering if anyone has mounted one to the factory front bumper
    Was thinking this mount
    https://www.rightchannelradios.com/...ounts/products/firestik-3-way-cb-mirror-mount

or if there's a way to use this one and attach by the hood?
    https://www.rightchannelradios.com/products/vertical-door-jamb-cb-antenna-mount

Can't remember if the ARB bumper has the spot to mount or if I would just be using that same 3way mount.

If you want the hood, get a set of ditch light brackets and roll with those. As for mounting to the factory urethane bumper any right-angle bracket will suit your needs. Just be sure to run a independent ground wire.

trying to avoid the ditch bracket as not a fan of the look. plus going to have lights there. looking more so for near a headlight kind of thing. Just not sure what would be better, under the hood mounting or to the bumper.

more so trying to find out if that door jamb bracket can be used under the hood as well or only for a rear door.
Plus then I can put it on a spring and pull it back and mount it to the roof or something when not on the trail adding as a warning if I'm going in an underground and its too low for the truck lol.

Well, I was more thinking as a plan for the future thing, set up the ditch brackets now, then when you get the ARB you can re-use them for lights.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Just don't forget you need a ground for the antenna's mount and it doesn't matter where you mount it.

but just found this, might work for what I'm thinking to the point I wont even need to move to the bumper

When I had my Xterra I would open my window and had one of those tiny bungee wrapped around the Oh-sh!t handle and wound pull mine down when going into the car-park.

Yeah, I'm not sure I dig the lights then the antenna a foot up? How about make a 1" x 3" strip of steel and create an outrigger on the ditch bracket? It'll cost you 2.50$.

theres no oh shit handle on the tacoma :( lol
Not crazy about the rear mount as I feel it might get in the way when going in and out of the bed, and worried maybe if myself or girlfriend or whoever is climbing in and out of the bed, might reach out and grab it as a handle when it isn't
