I have a 2006 V6 and my air bag light has been on for sometime. A friend scanned it and it is the RF air bag sensor. I bought the sensor and I am ready to put it in but I am just wondering if there is anything special about this replacement? I know I should disconnect the battery incase of any static electricity sending to the air bags.

I would disconnect the battery. My '06 had a faulty airbag sensor as well, and I pulled the battery cables, just to be safe. Don't want to replace the airbags too, just in case something goes wrong.

Did this work for you? I have to do the same thing. JW if anything special is needed, thanks!
