Hello everyone. Names Drew. I'm a college student in NC and also a firefighter. I just recently decided to sell my BMW 330ci coupe ZHP to get something a little more roomy and travel friendly. I decided on the Tacoma as it was the only truck that could really catch my eye and leave me wanting more.

2 weeks ago I decided to buy a new 2013 Tacoma PreRunner SR5 and I love it. So much better than driving around in a little stick shift car in traffic and being a little larger than everyone around me now. Definitely still getting used to driving the truck though.

Anyways, I have begun modding it and I'm sure will keep doing more in the future.

Specs: 2013 PreRunner SR5 with off road wheels, Westin step bars, American Tonneau Tri-Fold, Pop and Lock power locking tailgate, and weather tech floor mats. Here are some pictures from day one to how she sits today...

Welcome! I too came from a sports car. Mine was a lowered and modded 2002 Mustang GT. I know exactly what ya mean by getting used to driving a truck. With the stang It rode REALLY LOW and going to a 4x4 Taco is a HUGE difference. Im gonna get out on a limb here and bet that youll be modding that prerunner heavily in no time.

    Thank you!

Yea after I pulled off the lot in the Tacoma we went out to eat and the restaurant had a steep drive. My dad was behind me in his Tundra laughing as I pulled in real slow forgetting I wasn't driving my low car anymore haha

4 doors is definitely the best for sure. Well for now anyways, I'm sure eventually I'll have a sports car to go along with the Taco

Welcome to TW! I too went from the custom car scene to my Tacoma. No regrets at all. I've had two Scion xBs both have been in SEMA here in Vegas and just one day I decided maybe its time to grow up lol.

    Welcome from east TN!

I love my truck. I feel so awkward when i ride in my brothers GF's scion(she had a XB but just traded a few weeks ago on a TC.) or any car i feel awkward. I’m so use to getting in and out of my truck, brothers truck, buddys FJ that has a 3” lift. most the people i ride with(not driving) have trucks or suv’s. not many have cars.

Nice truck. I think you should sc it lol.

I came from sports cars too. I had my autox Paseo down to 1800ish pounds pushing out 240whp with a 5efte. And my daily driver mkii MR2 was putting down ~400whp. I also partially owned a ~350whp sc S2000. Funs cars. I had to get rid of my favorite car MR2 to help get into this new house. I hope to have something fast in the next year or so.

First car was a scion TC show car with lambo doors, nitrous, the whole shabang, then to my bimmer and now the truck. Funny a lot of scion owners here.

Yea I plan on getting a sports car in the next couple years after I graduate to get some speed for the weekends and when its a fun cruising day.

Shoot, I would love to supercharge it if gas mileage wouldn't go down the drain. Need the best I can get ha

I just got rid of my 07 Mazdaspeed3. It was fully bolted with lots of goodies. On high boost it made 336/374 wheel. It was getting impractical for daily driving though and with every new mod I lost traction in another gear. So much happier in my Tacoma, it was a great car though. Congrats on your truck, I have had mine for 2 weeks now and completely love it.

The red is basic bolt ons, blue is low boost, and green is high boost. Sold it before doing an E-85 tune.

    Congrats on the new truck.

Personally, I love my Tacoma and put most of my commuting miles on it. But if I was forced to choose one, I would have to go with my 2011 Mustang GT. The truck is definitely more utilitarian and fun to drive in its own way, but for me, there is no substitute for explosive acceleration and tight cornering.

Yea it's a great vehicle but I'm sure soon enough I'll be missing the speed, I'll get another one someday but for now this is just the practical choice for me and I am very happy with it.
