The larger one is similar to what I am looking for don't need a freezer all the time, but it is a nice option.. little pricey though, and I assume the fridge temp isn't settable like the true dual zones are.... its freezer & the fridge gets what cold air leaks through the divider.... until you remove the divider.... the power consumption looks great though... .75a up to 3.5 max...

I think you are right about the fridge freezer operation. But yeah, .75-3amps. My plan is to power it from a LiFePo4 battery so if I can get 1.5 amp average that’s 53 hour run time without charge

Love my Dometic CFX3 75Dz. Like others have said, if you’re running the small side as a freezer, and the larger as a fridge, I’ve seen as high at 2.75 amps/hour. I run mine off a goalzero 1500, so the power drain is fine. However, are you always going to have a freezer running? I ask because I didn’t think about the fact that a fridge doesn’t need room for ice (yeah I know, really fudged that up). So if you’re going for a 1:1 size comparison on the fridge vs cooler, you’ll probably find yourself with significantly more room in the fridge than you need, and a higher power draw.

Yup for sure. A 60l cooler is really 30l of usable space. Unless you are traveling with a huge group or months at a time, people can use a smaller fridge.

the other thing is if you have a single zone fridge, it’s typically colder in the bottom so I’ll put frozen stuff in the bottom and stuff I don’t want frozen at the top.

I’m in the same planning boat as you. And I’m also planning to spend some quality time in the north Maine woods this summer. Haven’t been back since moving out of there in ‘08. Can’t wait!

Check out the Alpicool app. It's compatible with the Massimo fridge.

As far as I know the Massimo doesn't have any wifi or bluetooth...

So you are able to fit an ICECO fridge under the Diamondback SE? I'm looking at the ICECO VL60D.

I'm running a vl45 from iceco. Battery is a single optima yellow top 55ah, I've left it as long as 38 hrs without a crank and no issues. Temp was set at 36. Now I have a cascadia 4x4 solar panel on the hood and everything is cherry. I never worry about it dying now. I use my fridge every day of the week for lunch at work, snacks, etc etc. I also use it for weekend trips. It stays on 24/7

I'm curious about this too. Very interested in a Pull Kitchen, but also need a fridge (also on a slide out). Figured the Diamondback SE would be a good way to keep them both protected.

Will eventually have a mid-height bed-rack so a full on shell isn't an option.

Are you using a dual battery setup?

I was able to find out that the Dometic 75 Dual Zone fits under the Diamondback SE...not sure about the ICECO.

Maybe without the slide? My Iceco VL35/45 (the expandable one that they no longer make, ha) fits on the slide just fine. But that's in the VL35 configuration.

I'm relatively new to the scene, but how do you run solar without a dual battery? I'd like to do the same thing.

The cascadia solar, or any other solar runs to the charge controller and that to the battery. Basically it is doing its thing 24/7, especially when I'm not driving around.

During the day of my truck sitting at work, it's indicating 13.4 v and that's thanks to the solar panel.
