    Dear All,
Although I will mostly catch flak, I recessed my license plate. I had always wanted to do this, so I did. I had gauged and dented my tailgate. Upon getting a quote from a shop, I inquired about frenching the plate. They did it for $100, plus the cost of the steel box which I bought on EBay for like $35. It even came with a light.

Although this may seem out of place on my lifted truck with aggressive tires, I'd like to note that before The Fast and the Furious, old classic cars had originally done this back in the 30's and 40's.

I know this has gone out of style, but I think I can single handedly bring this back lol.

    I really dig it.

You don't have to put it in at an angle.

Surely you be flippng the handle, shaving the badge and replacing the bumper with a roll pan.

Or a bumper with no tag pocket and a spare mount on the right side, so the tag placement looks like it had purpose.

That could possibly be the only Tacoma like that. I've never seen one and I have been to at least 12 states.
