I need to rebuild my Fox 2.5 non-resi C/O. Is there a good DIY write up on this somewhere?
    Thanks.

    Thanks.
I’ve seen that video but a regular shock and coilovers are way different, starting with the coilovers having a spring that must be removed first. I need a start to finish how-to.
    Thanks anyways!

    Ah crap, sorry man.
I couldn’t find anything else on it.

FWIW, while searching I came across a DIY on a Raptor Forum.
Somewhere under all the pop-ups and Ads, there might have been a DIY. Lol
Good luck if you do find it. Or if the Raptor even uses the same set-up?

They us King’s, which is a completely different process for removing the springs, order of valves, etc.
    Thanks again!

Nobody has ever done a video of rebuilding Fox Coilovers?
There's video on how to get snails to reproduce but not on rebuilding Fox Coilovers. WTF?

If you can’t watch a video of a King getting rebuilt and figure out any other manufacturer afterwards, you probably shouldn’t be rebuilding your shocks.

If you are attempting to DIY a rebuild for the first time I would err on the side of caution. Maybe have an experienced friend show you how to do it the first time around.

If you are trying to save a few bucks, properly setting yourself up with the right tools and know how may be more of an investment in time, money and your safety than having a reputable off road shop perform the rebuild. The latter may be in your best interest.

Around here in Houston, a set of shocks will set you back only $250.

Have you ever rebuilt C/O's? If so, how did you learn?
What machine/device do you use to remove 650lb coil springs from a Fox or King C/O?

More than most people on this site. I watched a video of a guy rebuilding a King, understood the concept, and took notes of the process.

@MolonLabeTaco don't do it this way. Find a reputable shop and pay them to remove the springs. If you’re insistent on rebuilding the shocks, that’s cool, but it’s not worth getting hurt over removing or installing the springs.

No way in hell I'd try those jinky ass things on springs this stiff. All the local shops want $50 per C/O just to swap springs. If I do this myself, I'll fab up a device to do it safely. I've been in sketchy situations using spring compressors before & hated every second of it every time.

Friends don’t let friends drive stock
I just use the weight of my truck and a jack under my lca, remove the nut in the middle, leave the 3 nut holding the top plate on and slowly lower the jack. There a video on YouTube of a guy doing it this way and I just follow him. Just do the process backward to get coils and spring back together.
