I’ve read a lot of threads, posts, bulletins, etc. and still not feeling 100% confident with what I’ve found on the Fox 2.0 setup front/rear. My research has told me that out of the box, without any adjustments, should provide ~ 1 inch of lift in the front which should level the truck.
My goal is to get rid of the factory rake, run 275/70/17 and have an improvement over the factory suspension feel on and off road ( 99% on road driving).

How many members are running this setup without any adjustments? (Just 2.0 front and rear) Really excited to see some more pictures for inspiration! Thanks all!

I got a similar package except rears are resi. The only thing I done from out of box onto truck is compress the driver side with a strut “widow maker” compressor and turned the collar three turns up to compensate for taco lean. Forgot to measure before I installed but I was replacing leveling spacers on old coil overs and it seems to sit a little higher. They claim they come preset at 2 inches when put on a 2nd gen. Looks to be true in my case. Probably 1 inch in your case from what I’ve read about 3rd gens. The ride on road is far superior to stock Billy’s. Haven’t had a chance to take it off road yet

Yeah I've heard it might be a good idea to crank the driver's side a few turns to compensate for the taco lean. Also glad to hear that you are liking the ride, makes me excited to pull the trigger on this.

Still curious to see some pictures of other's setups!

I ran that setup for about 50K miles and 6 years. Just took them off today actually,

They provide a decent amount of lift out the box but if you ever plan on adding any sort of weight up front (winch/skids/bumper) they will sag terribly, i think they've got a 600# spring on them and i've inquired about replacing them, apparently you cant. They do ride well though i'll give them that. Theyve been beaten and abused and they havent leaked a single drop of oil, but the spring are showing surface rust, but they're good shocks.

50K, wow! That’s awesome to hear they held up so well and you had a good experience. I’ll definitely keep the weight in mind if I ever decide to add additional weight up front

I'm running this exact setup on my 2015 4wd, out of the box I raised up the driver side coil 3 turns to get rid of the driver's side lean..With that I only got like ~1 1/2" of lift (on both sides), but ended up installing JBA UCA's, so I cranked up passenger side 2 full turns, and driver's side 2 additional turns, that yielded ~2 1/2" of lift on the front (have a add a leaf in rear). So total of 2 turns on passenger side and 5 turns on driver side for ~2 1/2" of lift.. I didn't try and adjust these with them on the truck, I pulled them off and put them in a press to adjust them, not sure you can adjust them with them on the truck without messing up the adjusting nut.

The ride is Nice and Plush, only bad thing I could say about them is no adjustment while on the truck. If you want some to be able to be adjusted on the truck, look into these: https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/s...Standard_or_Extended_Travel_-_05__Tacoma.html

The ride is a definite improvement, no body roll at all. 7/8" in back and 1 1/4" app. upfront. Took measurements off frame and marked on painters tape. I haven't even bothered to get an alignment but, I will be monitoring tread where to know if I absolutely need to. Send ur pics when ur done :burnrubber:

That's awesome, I will definitely post pics once I install.

Just curious, the rear got some lift just from installing the shocks?

Yes it did definitely, I removed sway bar and carefully put coil overs in from above lower control arm ( had to spin in with coil cause it's tight ). In other words I did not loosen lower control arm bolts to drop it just used a pry bar to move them lower and when needed to could easily raise the upper. The second went considerably faster. Canceled alignment appointment after test drive. You want 5/8" thread showing on year shocks after you tighten the nut.

Drop skid and remove sway completely, a lot easier IMO. Just the method I ended up using

Thanks for the input, sounds like your install experience was pretty seamless. I’m thinking about cranking the coil oversup about 6 turns on each side, trying to achieve ~ 2 inches of lift up front. My only dilemma is figuring out how much of a rear lift I’d need for a level stance. My understanding is 1 inch should do, thinking of going with a block since 99% of my driving is onroad and I don’t haul any weight

I actually just removed this same set from my truck after ~10k miles. They worked really well on road, and were capable enough for the occasional off-road/camp adventures. I only upgraded because we've found more time to get out and hit some trails/camp and have really started to invest in it.

I used them at the preset 2". They came set from the factory to compensate for the lean so everything was sitting level for me.

Mine will actually be up for sale pretty soon if you're looking to save some dollars!

Do you have any pictures of your rig with the fox 2.0 setup on? What were the specs on your tires/wheels?

Unfortunately already pulled the trigger on a new set :/
