2024 and newer have a name badge in the headlight assy just above the side reflector. On the highest trd models, they are lit up. Has anyone tried to aftermarket light these? It's a cool feature but should have been lit on all models. The dealers call this an easter egg ( egg hunt). Thanks for any help on this

It's a neat feature not worth pursuing IMO. I'd rather have a dedicated highbeam reflector with its own light source and separate DRL from the low beam. That's higher priority on my list than a illuminated trim or manufacturer name plate. There's enough Toyota, and Tacoma through out the truck already.

Under the hood there is a Taco on the plastic shroud and coordinates on the other side. Lift up the back seats and there is a little Tacoma driving on one side and 3 trucks I think on the other side. And the bad ass trucks on the windshield in morse code.

Don’t forget the little storage on side of the dash with Morse code on it.

In poors speak Accessory Ready translates in to we didn't finish building your truck. I'm just throwing two random things together, but Toyota is hiding easter eggs in trucks when the price of eggs is way up and there are egg shortages nationwide. Super Bowl viewership was up, but does it still make sense for Toyota to spend advertising money during the game? When other manufacturers are not? 2024 Holiday peak season saw record sales revenue, but nobody got more for their money because the price of everything was inflated. What I'm saying is manufactures and advertisers have lost touch with reality, if they ever had a grasp on it before.

It means buy out $50 weed holder or $100 rechargeable puck light. Still waiting for them to release the 3d files for accessories.

I can see the fun in doing that, but waiting for Toyota to release those files so you can proceed with that fun is frustrating.

I'm sure it's a balancing act. I hear things like offroading is only a percentage of customers and I agree but Toyota has the Pro Trailhunter and Offroad. Ok Toyota must think those models sell, and most buyers gravitate to them no matter where they drive. The accessory model especially if you print them yourself, I think that's cool but that alone won't sell me on the truck, and how many buyers are going to be into that? Is it worth the initial cost for Toyota?

And it shouldn’t. I would hate to know the person who picked a vehicle based off a little tiny feature like that.

Doesn't do me a lot of good since all I have is a resin printer. I same tons or warhammer 40k minis but resin isn't strong enough for car parts.

It's not much of an easter egg, I noticed it the first night it was dark after picking up my truck.

What do the headlights say? Light pattern looks like text on the lens
