For those with tinted windows, how hard is it to see out at night?

here in WV we can do 35% on the driver and passenger windows and as dark as we want on the rest. If I go really dark how hard is it to see out at night? for backing up etc. I don't know anyone with tint to see for myself.

would it look better to keep the back side windows the same % as the front driver and passenger windows? I was going to try to go really dark, I sometimes have a rifle case or something in the back seat and I don't want anyone to see

I got 30% on the fronts and can see fine at night. I have 15% on the rears and it’s harder to see at night

Lane changes suck when the idiots dont have their headlights on.

Parking lots are sketchy, I roll the windows down if there are a lot of people around.

I have 20% all around (sept windshield) and have no issues.

That being said, my last tacoma(2008) I had 10% around and I did struggle at night.

Dont do that (even though it looks awesome)

I have 15% all around and I think I’ve only run over a half dozen people or so. But seriously, I have to be extra careful at night.

I have 20% all around and whatever legal for the sides on the windshield. If it’s dark with no street lights it can be a bit hard to see.

But...I’d never go back to fish bowl windows. Besides being nice no one can see in not ever wearing sunglasses is great.

Used to have 20% all around and could see but I will admit that visibility was diminished. Def led to a near crash before. Did not notice it as much as night since everyone has lights on but in low light / raining conditions I had those its hard to see moments, especially the front windows.

I may run 35% or something at least in the front windows. I cant see out the back anyway due to the shell and platform.

Living in New Mexico, one of the first things I did was get the windows tinted all around as soon as I bought the truck. It looks great and is really nice during the day when the sun is blaring, but at night it sucks. I’m actually considering scaling it back.

I've got 20 all around. It's tough to back up at night. also tough to assess curbs / etc. making low speed turns if there are no streetlights. Fine otherwise.

20 up front, limo on the back. I'm used to it. Sometimes I have to roll the windows down at night to see out. Otherwise I just use the back up cam. Just use common sense and you'll be fine.

I have 'limo' on the back and you cannot see out them at night. I depend on the backup cameras when backing up, ha.

My front is the legal limit here in UT, but I want to get them darker here soon.

    A few.
Can depend on brand/ quality of tint as well. Had my Ram done with 20% on front sides and had trouble seeing at 4 way intersections at night. Had my tacoma done with 20% at a different shop and it has a clearer view out.

    So Cal (SFV)
Llumar CTX 15% all around (making it 5 in the rears) and 50% windshield. Just lower you windows when backing up. Problem solved.

Blocks so much light that my g-shock watch won't charge inside the cabin...

Mine are ceramic. Highest quality from the best shop in town and it is still tough to see at night. Bottom lines is that there is still a lot less light coming through.

Then again, I’ll have to throw in the disclaimer that I’m also fifty seven years old. I don’t wear glasses and I’ve always had perfect vision but maybe my eyes don’t work as well as some of you younger folk anymore.

35% on 2 fronts. No additional tint on rear. No issues day or night.
