I have a roll up and it's great. Gets out of the way completely, covers the load with some give, and mine rarely leaks water into the bed. Snow is no problem either. My neighbor has a rigid cover and it spends its whole life leaning against the wall of his garage. If you ever haul anything a hard cover is a nuisance. What do you do with it when you make a bulky impulse buy at a great deal?

Agreed, but all I did was undo the 2 latches in 5 mins and tucked it in with the probably silly purchase I just made that my wife will holler at me soon enough. Wait I just thought of another reason to have either. Hiding silly purchases from the better half!

    Stock and staying that way
Roll up: Easy to haul large things, no security, more likely to leak.

Hard: Some security, lose 1/3 of the bed when you want to haul something large (w/o taking it off).
