For the Dog owners

What is your favorite rear dog hammock/seat cover? I bought one that lasted a few years but it never fit right... It needs to be waterproof and fit our rear seats better.

I own this one as well and like it. It is a very high quality seat cover and it was perfect for my RAV4 backseat. When I upgraded to a Tacoma I found the backseat is not as big so it sags quite a bit and isn't tight. I have a backseat extender from apetsplant on order to replace it.

My dogs are prolific shedders - I need zip-up side panels to contain the hairpocalypse.

So far this one seems pretty durable and the "car" size fits the Tacoma well.

 

I dont have an extender. I have enough shit on the floor that it extends the seat for her

We have this one, not a hard bottom but fits the Tacoma backseat well. Not crazy expensive by any means so I am not sure how long it would last?

FYI, here is what the Ruffwear cover looks like in my 3rd gen double cab. Even with the straps tightened all the way it isn't enough to keep the cover taught. In my RAV4 it was perfect but in the Tacoma my older and uncoordinated dog steps too far forward into the valley and stumbles. Not the biggest deal but I also like how the extender can easily be folded to allow for gear or a person to sit back there with her.

Regarding the backset extender: here is the one I went with. Note that the first shipment got lost and I'm currently waiting on the replacement to show up. Customer service was responsive and shipped a new one pretty quickly when it didn't show. The dimensions look to be a little close but I think it will fit. I used PETLOVERS10 to get 10% off. Note: I am not affiliated with them in any way and haven't received it yet so I cannot vouch for it in anyway. Decided to go with this since its an American company (probably made in China still) over the Amazon roll of the dice BS.

Thanks! Looks like a good option. I have a 40lb pup, and my girlfriend has a 90lb German so there isn't much space in the back seat. having the support is a good idea.

Canvasback.com. Had it modified to have 3 buckets, one for each dog. Also had cuts made in the back to be able to tie them down.

I bought some cheapo dog hammock setup from Amazon and it's been great. And it doubles as a grandson snack catcher. I think I paid around $40 bucks for the thing.
