Mine sticks to the ring. It's that tight. If I pick up the ring, that second grid comes with it.

Technically, the "fresh" breasts aren't regulated for that terminology and are usually kept right at freezing until they hit the meat counter.

I read something recently that said they brine their birds, even if they come in brine. Said they didn't end up salty either, but real juicy.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
Just typical Amazon buy. The prices haven't gone down in 3 years. So it was a good of time as any.

i got mine at a closeout store for $200. i had been looking at them for a while and this deal just kinda fell into my lap. you rarely ever see the 22.5 marked down. i see the 18.5 quite a bit at the closeout stores (Amazon and walmart overstock and returns). weber fully warranties everything, so there is 0 risk in buying one second hand or on clearance at a store like that.

I was a little too eager to get the turkey in the smoker this morning. It is 9:00 am and the turkey is done. Dinner is not until 2:00.

from what i've read, after you switch to the bandit door, the gasket isn't needed and even makes it difficult to close. i don't have either on mine yet.

Do it! Weber Controls their pricing so it's going to be really hard to find a 22 for under 399.00. Sometimes you can troll walmart or lowes and find one on blowout. Craigslist is also a good place to look. They just go really fast thou

No gasket needed. It's a very tight fit with it. But I bought the stainless door after I already installed the gasket. I mean there's no leak whatsoever but I did have to modify my latch/locking device becuase the factory one wouldn't work

Once you get the door, ditch the stock latch and get the compression latch. It's full of win

The compression latch they sell out there is pretty expensive. I think around $20.

I went to home Depot bought a couple stainless bolts, nuts, washers, metal plate. Some. Left over wood for the handle and came out with a great latch for less than $5. I wish I would have saved my drawing plan.. Lol..

This was my $5 home depot latch.. Works great. Definitely something to consider if you don't feel like buying a $20 latch
