So my truck has the Auto headlights feature. During the day, when Auto is selected, only the DRL will be on.
On my 2016, that did not have Auto headlights, I could switch to DRL and put the fogs on, then click up to turn on the headlights when needed.
In the 2019 with Auto headlights, the only way to run the DRLs & the fogs together is to switch the stalk to the parking lights setting. This lights up the dash, and has the tail running lights on.
I was wondering if anyone has found a way to stay on Auto 24/7 and have the fogs lit up with the DRLs during the day?
(I also get that fogs aren't meant to be DRLs, but I still like to have them on with the headlights DRLs)

    Why?

What is the advantage of running the fogs with DRL in the day?

    Just curious.

FWIW, parking lights are used to indicate a parked car at night. Not as running lights.

Why? Because I want to. Just as with anything I do with my truck, it's because I want to and/or I like the way it looks.
And I know parking lights aren't meant to be used as running lights, which I why I want to have the fogs on with the DRLs WITHOUT having to set the stalk to parking lights.
    Hence the thread.
    Thanks tho.

Then you will want to follow the Fog Light Any Time modification.

BTW, I'm not judging. I'm just curious about any advantage. Also, many younger drivers don't understand the purpose of the light systems.

    Happy Modding.

But on trucks without the Auto feature, you can run fogs with DRLs just by turning on the fogs. This is essentially what I want to do.
I will have to look into jumping the fog to the drl I guess, I just want the option to turn them on or off when I want.

Actually I think the DRL wire in C11 is ground-actuated, so a jumper won't work.

Take a look at this diagram -- I will have harnesses that breakout every pin on your light stalk available very shortly. You can use it to actuate relays or accessories in conjunction with any setting on the stalk if you do the homework.

I think a brite box would be easiest. Not sure if it’s a solution to what you want. Worth a look though.

I'm gonna study that diagram, but ashamed to admit it's like hieroglyphics to me
