Its gonna drop to 9 degrees, let me start off by saying that.

Just today I noticed a rubbing/scratching sound on both of the foam inserts by the front driver side and passenger door. Upon closing inspection both foam inserts have play and make an audible shifting sound upon driving, bumps and braking.

Looking for advice on remedying this. Initial search on this forum suggested expansion foam.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

If needed I can also post a picture tomorrow.

You have a cab mount chop or trimmed fender liners (either cab or bumper side) by chance? My foam was exposed and made an annoying rattle at high speeds until I installed rigid aftermarket fender liners. My oem fender liners were also dangling up near my aftermarket bumper and those would flap and make an awful racket, also at speed.
I stopped the foam from rattling by wedging it in place against the body panel with a folded plastic bag, but your foam really shouldn’t be rattling unless it’s exposed in the wheel well and air is hitting it I’d think.
Expansion foam would probably do the trick and it wouldn’t take much to hold the pieces in place
