Where can you find these as I’m not sure of the size ? Some say you don’t need but I think there wrong and dealership guy probably never work on a manual transmission ever and say they don’t have?

I don't know that 2nd gens have dowels for the pressure plate (alot of vehicles don't) but I've yet to have one apart, they typically come with a flywheel though if they are used in that application.

Flywheel straight pin part number from Toyota is 90250-10017. You'll need 3 if you're putting them in a new flywheel. And...YES...you do need them. I found this out the hard way.

Thank you, was gonna run a new aisin flywheel with the clutch I bought off you and am now realizing they don't supply the new dowels and rather not reuse my buggered up ones. What flywheel did you end up going with? I've ran urd's heavy flywheel in the past but they no longer offer it. I'm currently on a LCE flywheel and will probably go back to oem.

Because I was doing the tranny swap and didn't have a flywheel to start with, I decided to go with a new OEM part. I'm sure you've considered having your LCE flywheel resurfaced by a competent machine shop, though. Did the clutch arrive yet?

I've though about resurfacing the flywheel. Just need to see what she looks like when I drop the trans. Clutch is supposed to arrive today
