Has anyone in the state fairly recently bought a Tacoma for MSRP, or close? If so could you hook me up with a dealer, or name,
    Thanks for reading...

I go to Jesse Waller at Sun Toyota in Holiday FL area. All dealers around Brevard are toxic. Vero, Cocoa, Melbourne... in that order of the sucking. PM me if you want his info.

Sun Toyota used to be a great place to buy cars and trucks, get service and parts, i have bought 3 vehicles prior to 2011, then came along the Morgan Group who bought it from the private owner. Thats when things changed, you may get a great deal on a new truck but when its time for parts and service you will pay top dollar. I have a 1st gen tacoma (bought at sun) when and if I need a factory part i drive to Lakeland Toyota thats how much cheaper it is, that is also where i bought an Avalon for my wife (was actually there getting a part for her camery) i will not let them touch my Tacoma. I have had other issues with them in the past i wont get into here, conglomerate owned dealerships are now more common place in metropolitan areas and from my perspective not to our benefit, try to find a privately owned dealership would be my advise.

SCUMBAG Southern 441 Toyota told me the price was 39,210 before taxes, I came in and they gave me $2400 over what I owed in my trade so im expecting 36,800 before taxes.
Im in the F&I office about to sign paperwork and its $44k before taxes, these bums said the price I was quoted didn't include "market adjustment" of $5000 I got heated and left. im reporting them to Toyota as I heard Toyota corporate isn't happy about this going on

    stay away from Southern 441

I nabbed a 2023 SR 2.7 access cab for MSRP in December (had a few grand equity in my wrx I traded in, but we went from MSRP). Only thing that pissed me off was the added Toyota care, and paint crap I didn't really want or need. They told me it was built to the VIN so no way to remove. Al Hendrickson Toyota.

Autonation Pinellas Park was MSRP but they couldn't get me an allocation after 3 months (January 2022)
Clearwater Toyota was MSRP but they couldn't get me a truck after 4 months (December of 2021) they have nothing on the lot, I don't know how anyone even stays working there.
Wesley Chapel Toyota had a mark up but the guy seemed like he could get it taken off. They had a trail edition and the lack of a smart key in 2022 made me pass.
Clermont toyota can suck my dick, they told me MSRP, i drove out 90 mins to put down a deposit and they told me no deposits, and $5k mark up when i got there. Almost lost my shit but just left instead.
Ended up finding my truck on the excel sheet up at Stone Mountain Toyota, MSRP, they were awesome there, great experience. flew up and drove back after paying $1k over the phone.
    glad that's over with

I talked to Coggin Toyota at one point and they claimed to not have any markups on Pro's but I never pursued it all the way through. Other dealers I have talked to are the following

    Autonation Pinellas Park - $15,000
    Autonation Winter Park - $10,000
    Phillip's Toyota - $5,000
    Stadium Toyota - $5,000
Arlington Toyota and Gatorland Toyota - I THINK I remember $5,000

Arlington is probably the worst on that list. I'll never be stepping foot in there again. Hopefully the Op does the same.

Bought mine through Venice Toyota. Went through Costco and got $500 off msrp. Not much of a win but a win at the end of the day.

If for some unforeseen reason I have to buy from Toyota again anytime soon, I will be doing a fly & drive with a dealership outside the SE Toyota Distributors (aka Mafia) area. Seems like ever since Covid turned the market on it's head, every Toyota dealership in Florida acts like they are doing you a favor by selling you a unit at a marked-up price, and then the SE Toyota Mafia adds on another $1,500 or so of overpriced, useless crap on top of it. I love my truck (which I got below MSRP in May of 2021 just before the market went haywire), but I can't stand Toyota dealers in this state.

Yeah, I’ll never buy a Toyota in the south most likely.
Unless I find a unit without market adjustment and without their cheap after market step bars/XP package junk. The step bars they add are so cheap it’s funny

why can’t Toyota just directly deal with their dealerships instead of allowing middleman companies to get involved to make a dime.

JM Family enterprises, some janky stuff about them if you search deep enough on the web.

Back in the late 60s they needed SETD to help break into that market. Now, it just makes much more sense economically and logistically for Toyota to sell and ship thousands of cars to one distributor than to ship to a hundred small individual dealerships. Problem is they don't just take the car portion of the business. Like the mafia they corner it all.....cars, parts, accessories, financing, and extended warranties. You're paying SETD's "taste" on all of it.
