Floor Jack for 3" lifted Tacomas?

With the addition of my new lift I'm now having to do (what I deem to be) unsafe things to get the truck into the air. Basically, my current jack needs some wooden blocks stacked to get the truck off the ground and it makes me pretty nervous when I have to do it.

I have the Icon Extended Travel set and the Dakar leaf pack out back. My frame sits about 17" off the ground and I need to raise it quite a bit to get the front tires in the air. The rear can be raised by jacking up from the diff so that's not really an issue as it gets the truck in the air just fine. For the front though, it requires a good bit more lift from the jack.

What are other lifted Tacoma owners using?

I'm at 2" of lift and I use this jack. Bought it before I lifted because it was cheap and got the job done. Still works.

Looks a little sketchy but I'll take your word for it that it works.

Kinda hoping to find something with around 24" of maximum lift. Anything like that? I like the wood block idea but it still worries me.

 

I have some 3 ton high lift stands that I use to hold the weight in the air. The jack holds well, but I wouldn't trust it to carry the weight for extended periods of time, especially if I'm underneath.

 

Perhaps not the info you're looking for, but I use sliders and a hi-lift. Once we lift our trucks, any factory stuff becomes obsolete. If anything you could use the factory jack under the LCA (front) or the rear axle (rear) in a pinch, but using the frame is no longer feasible. I have a 3 ton floor jack from harbor freight in my garage as it was the highest lifting jack I could find in my budget and it still struggles to life the tires off the ground without using wood to supplement.

I use the same but make sure to place supporting jacks as a safety precaution.

Harbor Freight has a low profile jack with 23 3/4" of clearance (I have this model) and it works great.

 

The front A arm and the rear axle are still relatively at the same height which is where the factory jack is designed to lift from. Not the frame.

 

The harbor freight one works for me. 3 ton with a 24 inch lift height. (could be 21 3/4 inch but I cant remember)

I don't remember if I have the exact same one but it is an Arcan 3 1/2 ton low profile racing jack I got from costco for $99 several years back. I love that jack and would highly recommend it.

 

I have same issue. I'll be buying the HF low profile-long reach one.

 

I know they used to sell them at Costco so it's probably the same one. Best jack I've ever owned hands down

 

Kinda looking at this one since it's a bit lighter. Would be nice if it had just a wee bit more lift.
