    Hello,

I recently bought my new (and first) tacoma, which happens to be a TRD sport 4x4. It came with no LEDs and I've been slowly replacing the lights on my new taco with LED.

Started with interior, and moved to reverse and brake lights. Now trying to install LED turn signals in the rear and front. Did a bit of research beforehand and was aware about the possibility of the 'hyperflash' with LED turn signal bulbs. Sure enough, after swapping the stock bulbs in the rear, I now have the dreaded hyperflash.

I do not have the money to buy the more expensive (and probably better quality) bulbs that don't require a resistor or changing the relay. With that, I have been trying to research if the 3rd gen tacomas even have a turn signal flashing relay, yet have come up empty handed with no answers.

So, does the 3rd gen tacomas have a flasher relay? if so, where would i be able to locate it? and if not, then i will need to add inline resistors, correct?

    Thanks!

Nope! They don’t. You will need to add resistors.

There is, but if I remember right it is not replaceable. It was in a harness or soldered onto a board. There was a recent thread on here. Dealer wanted a bunch of money to change it.

It’s integrated into the instrument cluster.

    On the instrument cluster board.
You have to pull the gauges out and open them up…..

Welcome to the new age of “let’s make it hard” to fix something simple.

It sounds hard tedious and gonna take a lot of time, do you know if there’s any way easier to get a turn signal (for both sides) before that this go through the relay and star flashing?

Going to correct some of your English first:

The turn signal stalk, the thing you move on the steering column, has a steady ground for the right and left. This is before entering the Combination Meter where the flash is made. You could take that and do with it what you want. You don't say what you want to do or why you want no flashing. It would be nice to know. Here is the schematic:
