    UPDATE ON LAST COMMENT

Hey Guys so here's the Question

I am planning to use the part #'s below which are from the FJ to wire in to my Tacoma and hook up a Rigid LED bar or off-road lights. WILL THIS WORK?
    1. Outside wiring: PT297-35070-LH Fog Light Harness
    2. Inside wiring: PT297-35070-SH -Switch Harness
    3. Light switch: PT297-35070-AS - Auxiliary Lights Switch
    4. Relay: PT297-89016 Fog Relay
It appears that it should be work just fine as long as its all done correctly however before is start I need some advice and tips and pics.

I've seen a some threads here and there but nothing 100% saying it will work or pictures of how to.

    http://zlachevsky.wordpress.com/2013/05/31/piaa-fog-lights-install-on-fj-cruisernon-invasive/
    http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/foru...-roof-top-light-switch-oem-part-number-2.html
has a nice explanation but its for the FJ not the Tacoma, is it the same under the hood?

Has Anyone done this mod, and if so can you direct me to a good source or pictures? and or give me some tips

    Much Appreciated my Tacoma family

I'm going to assume with that switch, you are trying to put it here:

If so, I believe the switch should work as I put a A-TRAC switch in there. I'm pretty certain the A-TRAC switches for the Tacoma and FJ are the same and I had to just shave off some of the plastic on the side of the switch casing.

For wiring, I did not use those wiring harnesses that you plan to. I have an additional fuse block that I connected to. I did use a fog relay for the lights too. Worked out pretty well. I have 2 led bars runnning off the same relay with no issues at all. The trick part for me was wiring up the relay, but my Toyota part department was very helpful with telling me exactly how to wire it up.

Hope I helped. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I'm planning on trying something entirely new and putting the switch here:D264011d1396010796-fj-taco-oem-switch-bezel-project-image.jpg. It will be somewhat painful getting all the wires from the switch.. but my biggest concern is connecting the wires to the right locations, which I have seen only a diagram on a FJ forum, and the Tacoma guys I haven't seen use the above parts. usually someone uses the relay and harness that comes with the lights.. I would imagine its being similar to those but not much of a electrician so I want to be confident before I start wiring things...

Switches would look good there, but I could never put them there as I would end up gumming them up with spilled coffees at some point.:(

Thanks guys, def know what you mean by being worried on coffee spills. I don't drink much coffee or when I do I put it in the rubber cups in my spill proof Starbucks cup. If your interested in the other half of the panel to do this mod. I still have it available. see here.http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/310799-fj-taco-oem-switch-bezel-project.htmlIf anyone else have seen someone use these parts to hook up lights please leave a reply here with a link or pics . anything would help ;)

UPDATE :I order a Rigid 20" LED bar and it came with all wires needed to wire lights along with a relay and everything else I was going to do . I suggest just ordering their wiring and saving yourself the headache. the only thing I will not be using is their switch, I will still be wiring it to the OEM FJ Switch mentioned above

    Thread revive

So I want to hook up the rigid light bar and harness to an oem switch (fog light). There's a red, black and blue wire for the rigid switch. How do I go about wiring this?

a stock OEM fog light switch has four pins, the top two are the switch and the bottom two are for the light in the switch. with that said hook the red and blue wires to the top two, order does not matter. black wire is not needed as it just provides a ground for the light in the Rigid switch

And if I want the switch to light up, just splice tge two bottom green wires it into the neighboring fog switch?

that or use the wires from the connector behind the blank
