Hey guys, I have a new silver 2013 Toyota Tacoma 4WD V6 (TRD Sport) with the tow hitch. I got back to my truck today and had a very nice dent in the back left corner of my bumper (see picture below).

I guess my questions are the following:

-Does anyone have a general idea of what sort of quotes I'll be getting to fix it? Is this even possible?
-Should I just replace it? If so, where and how much are OEM bumpers? I'm already looking on the Marketplace thread but wasn't sure if you could buy these online anywhere.
-If i get a replacement (OEM or aftermarket), is this something I can install myself or is the hitch actually part of the bumper on this model and does this have to be done at a shop? Or do I just need to replace the "casing?"

i happen to be at work and just typed your truck into my estimate system and total to replace and paint rear bumper is $836.97. dont know how pricing differs in the US but id assume that it would be relatively the same.

    this is painted and installed.

you cant buy it pre-painted so you have to go to a shop either way.

You could change it yourself if you feel confident about doing it... the hitch comes off with it

thanks guys. but the hitch isn't actually attached or part of the bumper correct? do you think i need the entire bumper or just that outer part?

Yeah, the bumper will come off the hitch.
You will need the "facebar" (painted part), the left pad, and the left outer bracket from the looks of that picture. There may be another bracket that will require a little tweak.
My previous reply was incorrect- I forgot you want the bumper off, not the hitch. The hitch won't come off with the bumper on, but going the other way you're good

For the prices quoted you can get a nice aftermarket plate bumper for the same or less...and never worry about another dent

    Just saying...

x2.. I backed into a tree camping and was all, "Damn! oh well.. at least now I can justify buying a plate bumper!" then went back and was disappointed I hit the tree right on the trailer hitch... no damage. LOL

Something happened to my bumper . It was cheaper to buy a Fab Four bumper and still can use your hitch
