Fishing on the Black river, need some assistance

Ok so My dad, some friends and I are going on a backpacking fishing trip on the indian reservation on the black river.
one of my friends that was going to go, his dad knew the spot we were going and he was going to tell us where to go, but now his son isnt going so his dad is no longer willing to give up his "secret spot"

can anyone lead me in the right direction on where to go? we dont mind driving long distances down dirt roads and hiking tons to get to a good spot. were going to be there for 6 days.

I can't help on the location, but make sure you get a fishing permit from the tribe to save yourself a lot of grief if you foget.

WHITE MOUNTAIN STREAMS
Note: Stage 1 Fire Restrictions are currently in effect, but will be changed to Stage II Fire Restrictions starting on May 23 on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests.
EAST FORK of the BLACK RIVER – Fishing is good for stocked Apache trout and fair for wild brown trout. The stream was stocked last week and will be stocked again this week with 1,000 Apache trout. The river is at or near base flows.
WEST FORK of the BLACK RIVER – Fishing is good for stocked Apache trout and poor for wild brown trout. It was stocked last week and will be stocked again this week at the FR 68 crossing with 50 Apache trout. The campground is still closed following the Wallow Fire. The river is at or near base flows.

The Lower black is smallmouth territory .

There is a book out there with good Info ( I fish the upper black for trout)
While the Lower Black River is one of the best places in the state to fish for smallmouth bass, it is also an environmentally sensitive wilderness located on reservation land that should be visited with caution, a light footprint and respect for future fishermen. Which reservation you going? Know a few spots but on the WMAT side
