Very happy with how it turned out. I was only going to get the ceramic on the windshield but their tint guy accidentally cut all ceramic instead of the regular so got it all around for the price of regular tint. Score!

Looks great, but I hope your tint guy told you that your tint is illegal in Ohio. Limit on the front windshield is 75% with a non-reflective tint allowed on the top 5 inches. Limit on the front side windows is 50% Rear side windows and rear windshield are ok, there is no limit for those.

Where in OH are you, and at what shop did you get it done? I was thinking of getting ceramic tint. Is the 40% in the front too dark for you?

Looks great. I've 50% on mine and love it during the days but hate it at night for obvious reasons. I'll try 60-75 next time to find a careful balance.

Yes I'm aware. Most departments have stopped hassling people with exception of a few smaller departments that I typically don't ever have to ravel through and I avoid them like the plague. Most importantly Columbus PD doesn't bother people at all for this anymore except for the rare occasion you get pulled over for another infraction but most departments don't even carry those window tint gauges anymore more

I Can see fine just as well It just looks significantly darker from the outside but really does not reduce visibility even at night
    It is wonderful¡

Why in the world would you tint your windshield? Do you also wear sunglasses at night?

That’s just not logical. Less light means less visibility.

Can we see pics from the inside looking out in day and night? I dig it! Does it stop hood glare, or on coming glare at night?

Your answer might lie in the fact that windshield tint is illegal in some (many?) states.

Tinting a windshield is stupid for driving at night. Wear some sunglasses if its bright during the day. Also, I am not trying to hide from anyone while I am driving.

I got 100% tint on front and I love it. No glare at all. Pretty sure the odd bump I felt in the road might have been a pedestrian, but worth it for me.

Nice looking truck. Proper truck colour and cool wheels. Not sure I’d tint my windshield, but otherwise a tasteful Taco.

Living in south Florida I can understand the desire to tint the front windshield. It's not just the light, it's the heat and the UV blocking. A good ceramic tint will cut the heat and UV transmission through the windshield significantly. That said, when I got my tint done a couple of months ago I opted not to have anything put on the front windshield for a couple of reasons, even though they had an almost clear ceramic tint for it that cut heat and UV rays but let 95% of the visible light through. For one, some of the reviews I'd read said that some people experienced some starbursting at night with oncoming headlights. Also, there have been instances where insurance companies have found drivers of vehicles with these tints liable if involved in an accident because of vision obstructions. Windshield tints are illegal here except for above the AS-1 line unless you have an exemption form from your doctor stating you have a medical condition involving light sensitivity. I went with the maximum tint Florida allows on all the windows except the windshield. I got a WeatherTech sun shade for when it's parked. Between the tint on all the rest of the windows and the sun shade on the windshield it makes a huge difference.

I think some folks are sensitive to light (possibly heat as well) but I agree now that I've gone through it that tinting the windshield leaves you at a disadvantage.

If heat is the problem, I would suggest researching if there are films that block infrared radiation while allowing visible light through.

There is, and my tint shop offered it to me as stated in my post. I just chose not to get it for the reasons stated and opted for a sun shade instead. https://llumar.com/na/en/automotive/window-tint/clear/

Never understood why people tint their windshields, especially on a Tacoma. The windshields are rock magnets, not only will you be paying to replace your windshield, but also the tint.
