Great, I do 120 miles a day and they’re really not showing any sign of wearing, great in the snow and mild off roading.

Thanks. I keep coming back to these tires due to their lighter weight. I don’t need a LT tire but I think it’s a great way to get the size I want (285/75R16) without the excessive weight.

Pretty messy winter here this year, tires haven’t failed me yet. Got into some pretty deep snow yesterday and they cut right through it. Very impressed. Had another Tacoma in the same snow with with some ‘show’ tires and he couldn’t get out.

OME 2” suspension lift kit, MagnaFlow exhaust, TRD 17" Sema rims, Firestone Destination XT LT265/70R17, Bakflip, TRD air filter, TRD Pro grill
Thinking about getting these tires. I had some BF Goodrich K02's (LT) installed yesterday on my new 17" SEMA TRD rims and the shop needed a lot of weight to balance them. When I got on the highway there was a lot of vibration. The steering wheel was shaking. I complained and Tires Plus offered to send them back and get new BFG's or try the Firestone Destination XT, a brand they typically carry. The BFG's look sweet but the ride sucks.

They've served me well, not too loud on the highway, not MT's but aggressive enough for me, they do really well in the snow.

What size did you go with OP? Looking at these in 255/75/17, only 40lbs each seems very light compared to most 32” tires.

Spring time in Alaska means new shoes. I decided to try the Firestone destination XT in LT265/75r16 E load without seeing this thread actually.

This size just works on Taco’s.

So far, these tires are awesome. They have great snow traction and I’ve found them to be very quiet. I’ve measured the sound levels in my Taco with my last three sets of tires:
Maxxis Bighorn LT255/85r16 MT-782’s ran 70-71dB on the highway

Firestone winter force with studs, stock size, 66-67dB.

    the destination XT, 64-65dB.

They haven't let me down yet, we'll see if some spring mud messes with them this weekend.

These have come up for serious consideration recently, just when I thought I was set on revo3s .

For those that have them in this thread, are they worth the perhaps better off road capability over every day driver? I do about 40k/year and run deducted winter's (blizzaks DMV2).

I can't speak for the other tires your posted but mine went through some pretty good mud this weekend, zero issues, never skipped a beat, aired down to around 22psi.

Though mine are brand new I have had great traction on interior Alaska ice and snow, from -20F hard pack and ice to an east coast style nor’easter type 20”+ wet snow dump. I don’t plan on running winter tires next year.

How has the fuel mileage been with these tires?

Pretty good. If they’re all set at the right PSI and you keep to the speed limit you can get 20 plus highway. I average around 17-18 tho because I’m normally above 80 on interstate.

That's not bad. Similar to the stock tires for rolling resistance then?

I would say they're better as they're skinnier?

Just circling back around from my initial questions in this thread. After much deliberation against the Revo3, G015 I have decide to give these a try and have something a bit more aggressive. Below are my observations after about 1000km.

    Size: LT255/75/17C
Noise: there is more than the stock LE2 and my blizzaks. With the tread spacing I am not surprised that there has been an increase but it's not excessive. Not enough to change the experience taking calls and listening to podcasts. They have a slight whirr similar to winters, just a lower tone. Most noticable above 100kmh. Road surface seems to make the largest difference with noise, some surfaces are silent. They like to be at least 34psi for noise, any lower gets loud. Running 35f, 34r right now.
Handling and ride: excellent and comfortable. They ride very similar to my blizzaks (P255/70/17). The secondary vibrations over rough surfaces or potholes is minimal(stock LE2 are 'bouncy'). Steering is good but you notice the tall tread a little. No vibrations what so ever, balanced perfectly from install, with little weight, 1oz on each well.
Grip: dry is great. Wet is excellent. Off road and mud, tbd due to lockdown.
Fuel economy: So far not significant enough to say with any certainty. My driving routes and playing with pressures has been too variable to say for certain but right now it's looking to be between no difference to maybe 0.5L/100km more. (Calculated by fill-up and corrected for diameter). Since we are probably still on winter gas, I'm leaning toward the lesser side of difference.

Overall, I think they are a good compromise for how aggressive this is over other ATs. Next to k02 on the showroom floor they have similar tread spacing. My only gripe so far is no white letters available on this size.

Thinking about grabbing these in 235/85/16 for my 2nd gen. Love skinnies and these are the lightest AT e load tires I've seen. Every still happy with them? I have been very happy with my Wildpeak AT3Ws, but the 235/85 are like 8 pounds heavier per corner. Never have considered Firestone tires until now.
