Hey Folks. Anyone running Firestone Destination M/T or A/T? The M/T looks more aggressive then the A/T. Just wondering due to having a account with Firestone. Would make it more affordable. I have not looked at their tires sense I had my Jeep 5 years ago....

    Destination M/T $190 A pop

I am running , and have run for several years, the Destination AT. Frankly, I'm surprised they don't get more love on here. They are absolutely fantastic tires, especially considering the price point. I've literally driven cross country, done Rocky Mtn and Moab trails, and driven back to the east coast without airing up or down. They perform well in all manner of off road conditions but are good on road, in rain, and snow as well. I've used the renowned KO2 as well, and despite its extra weight, tread, and cost, I didn't think it was any better.

Downside: not Bro approved.... and the MT does not have a tread warranty. The AT has a 50k warranty.

For What it Worth : I have Destination LE2s on my G55 , best fvcking tire I've had on the animal .
I was always afraid of Firestone but was SOLD 10 min after driving off. I bought them during
a crappy rainy season and would blast all 517hp on the HWY with too much confidence. Then
took the beast to Yosemite, everyone laughed at first then were believers when I hit every
trail , dirt gravel and semi rocky path with VERY mild A/Ts in a fancy black suv. I praise the
tires in the other Mercedes rock crawler forums. 18's only cost me $775 out the door they're
always buy 3 get one free @ wheel works. So damn quiet, sticky and grippy.

ps - not bro approved for Yotas

Ran the MT's in 285/70r17 on my first gen tundra. Really liked the tire balanced pretty easily for an MT, massive tread blocks. Weren't too bad in the rain. Much better traction off road than the Wrangler MT's I had on my jeep, but a lot louder on the highway. Didn't have them for too long so I can't say about the tread life, but after 5k miles they still looked almost brand new. I would buy them again just not on a truck I had to drive every day. Brother runs destinations at's, he loves them, do pretty well in snow and light off-roading. That is the tire I will go with when the stockers go on mine. MT's do look great though!IMG_2196.jpg

I haven't look at their tires since the tread exploding debacle several years ago.

Here's a pic of my old 2012 Taco with Destination AT (265/75 16).

I put them on a week after purchase. On my new 2017 I made the appointment to get them installed before I had even bought the truck.

Totally pointless bump because I slid around on some high speed gravel earlier and thoroughly enjoyed my tire decision...

I used the Destination ATs for a long time on the 2nd gen and I loved them. I do a significant amount of off road for working (not rock climbing for fun). I will go back to those as soon as my factory BS tires run low on tread.

I'm on my 2nd set. I'm only 2wd and they get me through some swampy nasty stuff- in sw Fl. They're also quite on the road which is a must for me. Great bang for your buck with this tire.

Have used the destination a/t's a few times on my trucks. They are good all-around tires & are virtually silent on the hwy, no complaints!!

ATX Mojaves with 265/75 16 Hankook Dynapro ATMs, Spidertrax 1.25" spacers (front and rear), Bilstein 5100 all around up front set at 1.75", Blacked out badges, Pioneer AVIC D3 DVD/NAV Head Unit, K&N Air Filter, Tyger Tri Fold Tonneau Cover, Rockford Fosgate Punch Speakers.
I have almost bought the ATs twice, once I had an appointment at Firestone to get them installed showed up and they didn't have them, ended up with Bridgestone ATs instead, recently just got new tires and got Hankook Dynapro ATMs over the Firestones because I liked the white lettering better (stupid reason but they were also very highly reviewed).

They are supposed to be great tires, I agree not sure why they aren't more popular.
