Anyone have any experience with this tire in a 265/75 R16? Considering these on my stock wheels.

IMO - You can do much better. Sounds like you want a street tire. Michelin LTX Defender M/S.

If I was a mud-er they would be a consideration. Size limited so went with the Cooper’s ST/MAXX

Wanting something that looks better and will perform better than the stock tires on mild/moderate trails. Started looking at these due to I can get them mounted and balanced with road hazard for just over $700.00.

    Thanks...

It's a mud terrain so way more than you need for mild/moderate trails. They ride like mudders on regular roads and you don't get a lot of mileage out of them like most mud terrain tires. I assume ride comfort and noise on pavement aren't a concern since you're looking at MTs. If so, it's a good off-road tire. The Destination XTs have a tread pattern similar to BFGs if you want a Firestone that's a little less aggressive.

Bought my truck with 275/70/17 Destination AT's. Wouldnt have been my first choice but I like them. Unfortunately they dont make it any longer and the replacement isnt available in that size. I had the Michelins on my 1st gen and liked them also.

Lmao how did it sound like he wanted a street tire? He mentioned a MT an said nothing about a street tire, his driving style or anything in the OP. People on here will literally pull anything out of their ass.

OP Those tires were originally made by Timberland a company that got bought out by Firestone. Excellent tire, had a buddy run them on his Dakota an they got good traction, didn’t chunk out easy an lasted a decent amount of time. I’d say go for it, especially for that price!

My bad. Thought he was referring to the destinations that come stock on the SR/SR5s.
That said, the Michelin LTX MS is a great street tire.

That's 400 less than I just paid for new tires. I would have gone with those over the Yoko Geolander M/T I put in for that price.

I never ran the MT2's, but ran the original Destination MT's when Bridgestone stopped making their MT.

No real complaints over any other MT (as far as noise, wet traction, etc), and they were tough as hell. Only real complaint I had was the tire's tendency to want to pull you up out of dry ruts due to the side lug design. Made driving on dry rutted roads a real pain in the ass. Truck constantly bouncing in and out of ruts, side to side. Never had another tire (MT or otherwise) do that to me. When it was time to replace them went with Goodyear MT's, and problem was gone.

Only about 300 miles on them so far. They ride well and obviously a bit louder on the highway than the stock tires. Overall I like them.
