15E45683-773E-4A97-923E-D0AC828AC31E.jpg Took my Taco to firestone. Attached is my alignment results. I did the best driveway alignment I could. They did what exactly to improve my alignment...? Are these results bs, I have Total Chaos heimed UCAs and I’m on a maxtrac spindle lift with SAW 2.5 coil overs. Should I take it somewhere else or is this as good as it gets? Thanks TW

This seems to be how they try to get off “doing” alignments. For whatever reason they’re not touching caster or camber and only correcting toe. They gave me some BS about being lifted... the guy I was talking to was a total moron though so I didn’t waste my breath. I’ll be back again within the month to talk directly with the tech or get a refund.

Looks like another Firestone toe 'n go alignment...hope you didn't pay for a full alignment. If youre lifted with aftermarket suspension I recommend avoiding Firestone.

Some people have good luck with them but it seems most don't.

I have their lifetime package that I purchased before I knew better, I only use it now if I want the toe corrected. If I want a good alignment I take it to the local 4x4 shop and pay the $130, worth it every time

On a side note. I’m amazed at the number of guys on here that mod the suspension. Then take their tucks to Firestone for the alignment.

Another "Don't go to Firestone for Alignments" thread..

Don't they realize that calling their alignment service 'ExpressAlign' actually makes it sound like a service the customer should avoid?

Yep. All they touched was toe. They’re to incompetent and lazy to adjust the camber and caster via LCA’s.
I’ve never seen a quality alignment come out of Firestone.

I once had a Firestone employee (the sales guy, not a tech) hand me my alignment check results and tell me that I needed camber adjustment... on a solid axle FZJ80.

I was in the same boat about a month ago... Went to 2 separate Firestones, and had already owned the lifetime for my truck so they were free. Even after explaining to the second location the issue with a "toe n go" alignment he seemed like he would get me fixed right up. Sure enough they just adjusted the toe more and made my steering wheel crazy crooked.

I ended up going to a place here in Texas called McGuire Tire and they did a full "offroad alignemt" for $85.

P.S. Be careful calling Firestone lazy on here...or some employee will just chime in angry and try to tell you to pity them because their pay structure sucks and they don't want to really uphold their lifetime alignment...They get paid less on re-alignments or something like that so they don't bother to get into any other adjustments than toe, or they will say you need an "exotic" alignment.

    Hmm . . . none as yet, that's why i'm here . . .
F@#$ Firestone, as you now know all you got was a toe job. Lifetime package Ha, all you'll get is what you just got.
Do yourself a real big favor, find a local garage who actually cares about you and your money.
These drive thru shops are freaking awful, Firestone, Mavis, Monroe, Jiffy, all of 'em. They pray on those that don't know any better and they work off a commission. The more the mechanic (and I use that word so lightly) sells, the more he makes. Joe public is their pray, especially on the ladies.

I'm sorry that you got hosed on your allignment. The reason I chose Firestone is because they are found in more states than other places since my work has me move every few years. From looking at your printout, it seems like either the mechanic that did your alignment isn't well skilled at lifted vehicles or your UCA's dont allow for additional camber/caster adjustment. I'm not trying to throw fuel into the fire but I would take it back to the shop and ask them to bring your camber and caster back into spec. It's unacceptable that they didn't complete the job that you paid them for. If your aftermarket upper control arms came with instructions on how to adjust caster, I would bring that with you. Overall, my experiences with Firestone have been nothing but acceptable, not superb, just acceptable.

I have a lifetime alignment through them for my truck, too. I've never had an issue and I have it done every 6 months or so. I do make it very clear when I drop the truck off that it has adjustable UCA's and they have always gotten it right. I also go to the same shop every time. I get my tires rotated and balanced and an alignment every 6 months for free with those lifetime packages. Hopefully I didn't jinx myself with this post...

It really just depends on who's working there. There are some Firestone locations in LA I've heard of that do a good job with aftermarket suspension, but most of them don't. The ones that do are usually run by guys that also have lifted trucks/Jeeps

I just took my taco in today after I adjusted the drivers side coil over to make up for the “taco lean”. He said they couldn’t get any more adjustment out of the passenger side due to the adjustment tabs being worn out.
    How do these numbers look?

The first time I went there (last year) they had everything all lined up and had no issues.

It looks like they did a different type of alignment. I don’t know if there is a difference between their expressalign and heavy duty thrust alignment, those numbers look way better than mine did.
