Firefighter License Plates, Do you get hassled with it on your vehicle, is it the sign of a douchebag show off or is it showing your pride in what you do?

I just got mine but I am not sure if I should put it on my vehicle. I am leaning towards yes, but I'm extremely proud of my chosen profession.

    TW What do you think?

I'm not a firefighter, but I respect those who are. In many cases I would have no way of knowing without the plates. I would say to do it! And thumbsup to you sir.

I see no problem with it. Around here all the Volly's have special plates, never would consider any of them douchebags by any means

I really don't see it as being a douche at all. Firefighters are a respected profession. Who thinks it's a douche maneuver to sport that license plate?

Oh, and lovin' the bewbs! :hungry:

Who cares what others think. You have every right to be proud of your profession. Even if you were not a ff, I would think that having a ff plate would be taken as supporting the fire dept.

+1 to you, law agencies, and military, for all that you guys/gals do for us.

I'm not a firefighter however all the volly's around here typically have the plate for their respective department on the front and I don't remotely think it's a dbag move. Frankly anyone who has a problem with it is a douchebag.

    The douche bags are

    a. the ones who dislike FF's LEO's and Medics
    b. the FF's who go out of their way to use the job to pick up an insane amount of girls/ show off to everyone.

I'll put it on to display my pride but I don't want to be mistaken as a douche.

Some LEO's around here dislike FF's and my fear is being targeted and over scrutinized for my driving.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I second this, I still have a place to call home because of our wonderful fire department. FF's risk their lives just as much as officers, and soldiers do, if people have a problem with that they should just gtfo of this country and go live in a place that has none of those things.

What's next C.O. ( Correction Officer plates? ) It's bad enough to see all those stupid blue line stickers on almost every car that passes by. Now you see stupid red line stickers as well. I was a Mass State Trooper for 20 years and nobody would have ever known it while I was driving around. It is a douche bag move, you want to represent do your fucking job and save people. And don't try to announce to all the people around you what you are. It's bad enough that on your days off, you probably always wear some type of FF shirt, or hat, or something. And your not trying to show off, and get girls. Nice try

I think nj has C.O plates..

Regardless, its not a douche move for most people. Yes, some people use it and abuse it, the rest of us are just proud of what we do

The money paid for our FF plates goes to the SC Fire Academy...I say do it, cause the money goes to help future firefighters...

You would hate every single volunteer firefighter in the state of Pennsylvania then since they all have a plate from their departments on the front.

I suppose all the married firefighters are trying to pick up women as well. Forget the line officers. They must be double the douchebags for having the word Captain, Assistant Chief, etc. on the department plate.

It's predominately volunteer departments here, so all these people are taking the time out of their personal lives aside from their normal jobs to help people. If they want a plate on the front that says what department they're from, go right ahead. If my house is on the fire i don't care if they arrive wearing shirts that say "we're firefighters, suck our fucking dicks women" as long as they put out the fire.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
Get You Some of those Plates. You earned them. You deserve them. Sucks they are not free for all firefighters, emts and police as well a armed forces. You serve US. America needs to serve you as well. IMO

By the way, Get a Big Ass fire fighter sticker on your rear window as well:D. (being completely serious). Its pride. Fire Fighters arnt usually targeted by criminals, so id say go for it.Now for Leos, I would think twice about it (unless u drive your squad car home) then everyone would know what you do. (wich is good and bad, depending situationaly IMO)
