I'm about to do my valve cover gaskets. The last thing I was waiting for was the FIPG that I had ordered to arrive. When it did, this metal tool was in the box. What is it?

it's called a mosedale tube key

for sticking on the end of the tube and rolling it up so you

Of course! I'd never have gotten the name, but the purpose makes perfect sense. Thanks.

I didn't take any pictures of that. I'm not sure how I expected to get much help. But, it has a round hole all the way down the length of the center, and a slot down the length on the back.

If you google 'mosedale tube key' as supplied by our geek friend localhost you can see pictures of the rest of it.

I may take the thing up to the bathroom. I really don't like sharing the toothpaste with my wife. Maybe this will stop the middle-tube-squeezer.

LOL, I actually use it to spread the gasket evenly. Didn't know it was use to help squeeze the tube from the end.
