Finding a used Camper shell

Is there a website or anything dedicated to finding used campershells?

I'm trying to get a standard shell, bed topper for my truck so I can get out to the parks and start camping but I cant find anything for my 15 DCSB in MGM. Ive been looking for months and turned up nothing. I check here at least every few days, FB marketplace, CL, etc. Nothing.

 

Finding toppers for our trucks...or at least ones that were actually made for our trucks, not just one that "will fit....kinda" is a waiting game. There are guys on here that have hunted around for years to find one in their area. As far as that goes, there are guys that have waited years to find one that was "only" 5 hours from home.

Keep after it. I'm still on the hunt too after "only" a year or so of really looking. As far as a dedicated website, this one is about as close as you'll get to finding something MADE for your truck, as far as I've found anyway.

My god that's rough. I dont want to wait years but I also cant justify paying 2500 to have a new one built.

 

Ask a local body shop about how much they would charge to paint one to match your truck, if you strip all the windows out of it yourself. Then decide if it's worth it to buy used in a different color and have it painted.

 

Been on the hunt for a while. I found a snugtop at the price I wanted, guy backed out on me the day before I was to pick it up because he wanted to sell it to his nephew...

NorCal but I’d go as far as so cal if need be.

 

Some of the camper top stores deal in used tops and might have one someone traded in.
You might try a wrecking yard too.

 

Yeah if anyone knows a website that would be good to know, I have been trying to sell mine for a little while. For a 1st gen double cab though, 2003

 

After searching craigslist for a year or two, I found mine in a newspaper ad of all places. No picture just 3 lines and a phone number.



I did pass up a nice deal on a black cap because of a huge sticker that had a presidents name. I figured that even if I peeled it off, the shadow would still be there.

 

It would help us if you could please list the length your looking for and what city your near.
I'm not going to try and find out what size a 2000 whatever bed length is.

I found mine last month for $200 on Craigslist. Has one broken window on the side with plexiglass installed.
Still a bargain!

 

Check with people that have trucks for sale. Maybe they'll sell the shell separately.

Luck and persistence. Mostly luck. Found mine on the Bay Area CL after checking morning and night for a month. Close color with Yakima racks and 1.5 hour drive. Needed some love and a few $$. I did reach out to sellers of trucks with shells to see if they would separate, no luck there.

I have been looking for one too. 2010 Extra Cab. 6 1/2 foot bed (I think). Located in NW LA (that's Northwest Louisiana, y'all ;-).

Took me over 2 years to hit pay dirt. When I did it was 20 minutes from my house, matched the color of my truck, and $80.00. Was stoked!!

 

Facebook marketplace is where I found mine and it was color matched. Drove 2 hours to get it.
