Finally figured out a way to mount my phone to my satisfaction and thought I would share.

Combined the Hondo garage Unholy 2 mount and a proclip Iphone mount. You have to remove the 2 front screws on the proclip mount to get the base off. Drill out the 2 opposite corners of mounting base as they line up to the 2 mounting holes on the Unholy mount.(you can’t see this once phone mount is back on).

Attach the mounting base of the proclip mount to the unholy mount using the 2 thumb screws that come with the unholy mount (through the holes you just drilled out).

Install the phone base back on using the 2 screws removed at the start.

So sturdy and leaves are flow from the vent.

I like that a lot! Looks like you have the premium and tech package. My Qii charger has been overheating my Galaxy Note 9 lately and it's been rustling my jimmies. Been charging with a USB fast charge cable, this seems like a good solution.

I use 2 diff Scosche mounts and I like them both. One I use for rental cars and as a back up in the truck and for my R32. And one for navigation on the phone by mounting it on the glass under the rearview mirror. It uses magnets and its a clean strong design. The glass mount one you can get as a 2 pack at Sams for $40. I can use both and don’t have to alter my phone at all - the magnet sits inside the phone case hidden.

My husband actually went that route in his Beemer. I can’t use the magnetic ones because I use the phone case that has card storage in the back :) So far its been a few days and I’m really digging this setup. Also nice so when my husband uses my truck it expands to fit his plus size phone.

I got this MobNetic Pro 90 and it's super slick. Magnets FTW! Doesn't block a vent. And crawling the curbs at the mall, my Motorola X4 doesn't move.

I just pointed the vent towards me before i put the hondo in, it covers only the top of the vent so i still get air from it.

Dunno if you care but it's pretty easy for people to deduce where you live from your 1st pic.
