    Hello all,
I own a 2015 Toyota Tacoma TRD PRO double cab short bed pickup in the Inferno Orange paint color that we purchased new.
Since purchase, I have been trying to learn what the final production figures are for this limited production model. ** I have found the numbers for the Tundra TRD PRO model online in a forum, but can not find them for my Tacoma TRD PRO.
*** I would like to know how many 2015 TRD PRO model Tacoma's were made overall (in the San Antonio facility), and specifically, how that figure breaks down by color (black, white, & orange), & sub-model (DCSB, Extended Cab, etc.).***
As the trucks were being released in 2015, the numbers for production were reported as an estimated 1000-1500 units in total for the three colors being made in, but I have yet to find the final numbers.
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated,
Thank You in advance, and Happy Holidays!Mix25%.jpg

Doubt they get that nitty gritty and release that info to the public. But would be interested to see if someone can find that info.

Great truck though. really like the PRO trim level.

I doubt that will ever be made known since the TRD OR would get built up (maybe except for stickers and trim plates), then reworked into a TRD Pro.

Thanks for the article link, I had missed that good piece of info.
I wouldn't think getting color numbers, especially for the Inferno which had never been made before, should be so hard. Isn't there a color number code in the vin?
You know Toyota does EVERYTHING by vin#!

Obviously OP has an affinity for the burnt orange.... just look at them seat covers.

Also vin's dont give information like that unfortunately. And like stated, its a TRD off road with different suspension, badging, rims, cat back, hood scoop, grill n color matched mirrors and you cant even get a break down of TRD OR sales vs the rest so... good luck finding that sub information.

It appears that your paint code is 4X0 according to the VIN spec sheet.

Inferno orange is the sexiest color for the 2nd gen imo, I can understand it not being for everybody but if your gonna drop goo goo dollars for the pro trim you might as well get a flashy color.

I just bought an Inferno Orange 2015 Tacoma TRD Pro and I'm in love. I was also searching for the production numbers broken down by color of the TRD Pro for 2015 and came up empty.

Guessing 4-500 per color. Estimates are 1200-1500 produced in total.

Also - welcome to TW! Congrats on the inferno.

Sure the you read all the posts on this thread, but in case you missed it, earlier, member 'RyanL' posted a link to a Motor Trend article about the total number of 2015 Tacoma TRD Pro's made were "about 1200".

    http://www.motortrend.com/cars/toyota/tacoma/2017/2017-toyota-tacoma-trd-pro-first-look-review/

Still, someone at Toyota should easily be able to come up with the numbers breakdown. It ain't Rocket Science as some people must seem to believe. IF they can track down specific build dates for recalls/TSB's for just about every part put into any given vehicle rolling off the lines, this info is there.

Nice truck! ;) What's the odometer read?
