Other than bumper plugs. What are you guys using to fill the holes left behind fromt the front license plate mount.

I'm working on mounting in under the bumper but before I do I want to get rid of those holes.

    Thanks.

Aftermarket plate bumper would remedy the hole nicely.

I found one for $113. Think I'll order it and keep it black since my truck is all white.

I bought some Auto Zone plugs. Sanded them, painted and cleared. Not to bad. Looks pretty good in my opinion.

Frozen cold....? Usually, they get smaller :) They'll probably fall off!
Maybe a little rubbing will perk it back up a bit.

Is a front plate required where you guys live? I'm thinking of asking my dealer to keep the plate bracket off for the PDI, just because I don't like how it looks, but I also don't know where to put the plate

Yup, required in most states I believe. I'm in Los Angeles to answer your question. Easier to leave off if you ordered it. Mine was already on the showroom with all the giant volcanoes drilled into the front bumper for the plate holder.

I think it's actually not required in most states... Here nor there. Lots of states without front plates.

Anyways, my front plate holder came in a plastic bag in my rear seat. Only had tape behind it, no screws in the kit.

I threw it away before i left the dealership.

    According to
    https://www.cars.com/articles/2013/10/how-many-states-require-front-license-plates/

In the 19 states that require vehicles to display only one license plate at the rear, most folks think that is how life should be.

In the other 31 states and Washington, D.C., being forced to mount a second license plate on the front of a vehicle isn't a big deal for many, but it sets some people off like a bottle rocket on the Fourth of July.

Thanks for the info! Let me rephrase, most of the states worth living in only require one plate. :p

Either way, license plates are a ridiculous, overly authoritarian requirement typical of a government that is focused on control and revenue rather than protecting and serving the populace.

Therefore, two is twice as evil as one.

Guess my state not worth living in, guess I got two choices move or kill myself. For now I'll wait till I get my Tacoma and then decide.

Oh, and without plates, those overly authoritarian, controlling ones will have a harder time protecting you, as theses vehicle identification tags help identify simular looking vehicles and help track down certain vehicles.

But screw that they are the government.

They have a harder time "protecting" us without martial law, too. But that doesn't make it a good thing.

Would you also support everybody wearing an id number that must be clearly visible at all times... To help more readily identify people who commit crimes without vehicles?

I realize that these are both fallaciously based arguments... But in each I'm extending one portion of your logic to show that your lines of reasoning may not be as solid as you believe them to be.
