I've had this Fenix RC05 for about 2 and a half years now, it's been my EDC light since the day it came in the mail and I've used it almost every day for at least one task or another.

I'll start with a short pros and cons list.
Pros: It's small, it's bright (for it's size), the magnetic tail cap is great for sticking it to objects for handsfree operation, the pocket clip is reversible to carry LED up or down, the pocket clip is also usable as a hat clip, the charging system is stupid easy, it really is waterproof, at ~$55 it's a good budget light.

Cons: switch seems to be failing after about 2 and a half years of use, the magnetic charge port is a magnet (literally) for fine particles if you use it in a shop environment or other environment with metal particles.

The user interface is a little bit odd and it took me a little while to get used to, to turn on the light you press and hold the switch for about 1 second and then release, then, once the light is on you tap the switch to change brightness modes.
Press and hold for one second and the light will turn back off, if you press and hold for 2 seconds the strobe mode will come on.
The cool thing about the UI is it has a lockout mode to keep the light from turning on accidentally while it's in your pocket, to activate (and de-activate) the lockout feature you simply double click the button.

The charger is magnetic, USB on one end and a magnetic disk (with a Micro-USB sticking out of the side) on the other, the one criticism I have of the charger cable is it's short, I have it plugged into a power strip on the floor and it's now quite long enough for the light to charge on the nightstand, instead it sleeps (charges) on the floor.

As I mentioned in the Pros list the pocket clip is reversable to carry lense up or down, as well its versatility in use as a hat clip. What I didn't mention is when carrying lense down (as I prefer) the tail cap is slightly below the edge of your pocket which gives a nice discreet look.

At 300 lumens on turbo mode it's a very bright light for the size, the 4 brightness settings are 300, 150, 50, and 5 Lumens respectively, although turbo mode steps down (due to heat) very quickly.
The physical dimensions are fairly small, 3.7" in length and .7" in diameter, and 1.3 oz without the battery make it very easy to forget that you're carrying the light.

Overall I've found it to be a very good EDC light that is sized appropriately to be a great companion to my PPS.

With all that said I'm retiring the light, the switch seems to be failing as when I turn on the light about 85% of the time the light will turn off when the switch is released. I will contact Fenix to try to get it repaired under warranty but I purchased an Olight to replace this for EDC to review an Olight.
