The lift is supposed to be 2" and I recently installed KO2's after the lift. There is fender rub - not horrible but definitely there when I turn on an incline or bump. Husband says I might need a body lift but also said I should ask you all f or suggestions. IF you need more info please let me know. TIA

The KO2's are 285/75R16 and the stock wheels for a 2021 TRD off road.

I used 1.25” spacers to solve rub on the fender with that same setup. Also ended doing a CMC and it’s now ok.

You need to do what everyone else does... cut, grind and chop. Your suspension extends and compresses so, unless you get tires to fit at stock height, a lift does not help.
    Pay to play.

Get the grinder out! Have you had any alignment done to push them forward/back any to see if that helps?

Body lift won't help. Your cab mounts are still gonna be there, rubbing and chewing your tires up.

I did have an alignment and the lift came with instructions for the alignment. I was told the tech used those specs but who knows if they did and maybe those specs were incorrect or didn't work with my lift and tires.

Is that what you had to do? Can I see some pics if so? I don't know exactly what you are talking about. I know about spacers. TIA

OK, got it. Thanks. Are those mounts easy to spot from the outside? They are in the wheel well?

Right behind the wheel at the bottom of the fender. I'd imagine if you look for the rub marks, you have found them.

Me personally would ditch the 285's and get some 255's to have the same tall tire, just less width. 255's don't require most if any of the massaging that comes with running 285's.

Yes, very easy to see. If you google cab mount chop tacoma you can see videos showing where they are located.

ugh, husband just told me the mounts are not whats rubbing. Now he tells me its the tire rubbing against the plastic fender liner.

I need the wider contact patch for wheeling on slickrock. If I wasn't taking it off roading I would do that. Thanks.

It's pretty common. You can grab a heat gun and see if you can heat the fender liner up and push them in a little. If it's the thicker fender plastic, just start trimming it with a grinder.

Uh, lots of people wheel 255's lol.

Just search here for CMC and you will see what needs done to fit 285's.
