Got a sweet deal on a mgm trd or dc a few months ago. Absolutely insane truck and I love it. It came with knock off bushwacker fender flares. Every time I see the rivets/fake bolt ons I feel cheap. I know some people enjoy the look but I’m not a big fan. I haven’t been able to find flares online to replace, OEM or otherwise, especially without the rivets. I’m thinking about having a go of filling in the rivets with putty or something and painting over them to match the color of my truck but not sure if that will work. Anyone have any advice/thoughts? In the meantime I’m watching the for sell/trade and Craigslist adds within 500 miles of me to see if I can grab someone’s old flares and sand/repaint to match. 751A7814-C991-4A30-9145-D8CAA55035F7.jpg

Only reason I will never get aftermarket flares, size and width are great but the rivets ruin it for me.

Yea the rivets just look awful imo. I replaced the screws with black ones and it helped but still not ideal.

I was thinking about replacing my Bushwacker's and going back stock. The old flares were scratched to hell when I took them off so I tossed them. I priced out new flares and related parts from the dealer. $1400

I tracked down the pricing of my local place and looks like it was about to be the same. I really dislike the rivets but $1400 can make me put up with a lot lol.

You might be able to find someone selling theirs (if they are going to fiberglass). The only problem would be color matching.

I'll keep my eye out on the forums. I have a pretty good paint guy so I don't mind having to sand and match, as long as I don't have to pay $1500

You can fill the holes on the flares you have now but it would look weird with the indentations and no bolts/rivets.

I feel that. Looking at them again it doesn't look like I could level up the rivets to be smooth with the flare very easily/probably impossible.

The $1400 I got was for 4 flares, 2 bumper end pieces and the rubber strips for each flare (no bolts or clips were quoted).

OH I forgot about the bumper end pieces. Would they have come color matched?

The part numbers I looked at were paint to match. My truck is a base model so it came with unpainted black flares.

I found out that the rear fender flares and even the front ones are the same on all 2nd gens.

It's just the front bumper fender piece that is different! I found this set on ebay that could be exactly what im looking for. I'd just need to track those front pieces down or get a steel bumper O.O
