WTS/WTT Asking $5k OBO... located in dallas, tx HAVE TITLE IN HAND*** Registered till Sep 2020!

Will trade for a 7x12 or 7x16 Vnose cargo trailer.

Comment and let me know what you think its worth/what you would be willing to pay for this trailer... this is still a work in progress and all photos are progress photos. Staged photos coming soon.

Ok so i have been working to rebuild an old teardrop trailer built in the 90s. It was used a few times by the original builder for camping at a deer lease and then it has sat. Light weight and pulls great! Dry weight was 740lbs when i bought it, have not weighed it with all the upgrades but i would say its closer to 1000lbs now. Its been awesome for camping trips and OHV trips! Can sleep 2 people, but its only ever been me and my dog that has camped in this.

My mom/step father shop burnt down and lost everything! This is where most of the work was done on the trailer, since the fire mods/upgrades have slowed down a bit. I am still working on this as i still have materials to install. I plan to build the cabinets in the cabin next, then i will work on the rear hatch area.

    Entire build thread here....

This is just a feeler thread... feel free to comment on what you think its worth or how much you would be willing to spend on a trailer like this.

No its not finished and yes im still working on it.... but this Texas summer heat will slow you down and your work shop burning down will also put a dampener on things...

It needs to be cleaned up to fetch 5k. You might be able to sell it for somewhere between 1 and 2 based on these photos. Fresh paint in and out, trim pieces to hide the jagged edges, new mattress. Make it look charming to the average couple who aren't totally sure about this "camping" thing. Present it like you were selling your house (add decorative pillows, maybe a flower vase on the kitchen shelf area, and clean clean clean before photographing.)

Really it depends on how much work you want to put in it, in the DFW area 5k for a teardrop not equipped with A/C is about your absolute ceiling. It has to look damn trendy and clean to fetch that amount, but it can be done with a bit more elbow grease.

Well these are all progress photos... and im really just trying to see what people feel its worth. And i know that $5k is a long shot but... aim high right??? Also if this were to sell for between $1k-$2k then it would loose a few things, like solar panels & battery for sure.

I also have an AC window unit that i can include, but its old and the only way to get it to blow into the cabin is to set it infront of the front window. Which works might i add, but there isnt a way to recirculate the air like it needs to so its working all night. There is also an HondaEX 650 generator that i can throw into the sale if i get what im asking for it.

I honestly think that the 1st 2 would be the only options better than mine... however you can pay $7k for a complete and newer model (Best deal IMO), or 4k for a pop up trailer that has a lot of comforts but its not a teardrop. The others just look awful to me...

My trailer is a niche item, geared towards a toyota owner, but looking at these teardrops makes me confident in my price.

Mine has a 3500lb axle (much more beefy than any of these other trailers) with self adjusting brakes and matching toyota lug pattern, this way you can use your spare on the truck or trailer, and full size 17" tundra wheels on 265/70/17 BFG KO2 tires or clearance on trails. Solar power (200w total), with charge controller, 12v / 110v RV junction box with SLA 100mAh battery, and charger/maintainer for care free battery maintenance. It has an AC unit just not mounted anywhere and a 10 speed reversible roof vent fan. Not to mention a custom roof rack with an 6x8 awning and opening for the roof vent. All LED lighting inside and out. All new wiring throughout.

I mean this is in the final stages of being done. I feel like i could invest another $300-$500 into it for materials (need to replace what was lost in the fire) and have it completed, or REALLY close to complete. The more i do to it the more the price will go up. Im sure once it cools down i will be wanting to camp in it again and my motivation to complete it will be sparked once more.

    Thanks for every ones input!

Lol. I have more than that in it so i wouldnt let it go for less than $4k. Also if you look at "my competition" then you will see that teardrops are not cheap.

Or if someone wants to trade me a 7x12 or 7x16 vnose trailer for this straight up!

Is that underframe lighting? I never thought of that. Great way to get workspace light without blasting you in the eyes.

Made a really quick walk around video... I see that i should have taken my time and went over a few more things. I really just wanted to get some video of the lights i installed. I will probably make another one during the day so you can see everything.
