I’m also a fan of collinite 845 but I use turtle wax seal n shine which has been proven to beat 95% of products on durability from chemicals and is rather cheap then layer it with collinite 845 on top so I get the best of both worlds. The best in durability and length of time from the sealant and the gloss from the wax. Also turtle wax seal n shine can go on everything, trim, glass, paint And also rubber. So it protects it all and beads like crazy.

All waxes are pretty much the same, get whichever you like. If your paint is still new, i would highly recommend ceramic coating. It lasts for at least 2-3 years and actually protects better than wax or sealant. I did it a year ago and the water beads like crazy still, and no swirls/scratches. Toyotas paint is super thin so it really makes a difference.

Waxes only last for about couple months max and need to be re applied again. They also give you no protection against swirls/light scratches. Ceramic coating actually protects your paint from those things. I go offroad quite a bit in the summer and my paint looks like new still.

I used to wax my vehicles every couple months until i found out about ceramic coating, amazing stuff. PM me if you would like tips/tricks on applying it.

    Good luck!

I’ve been really impressed with Turtle Wax Seal n Shine as well. It beads up real well and lasts for a while too.

Yeah it’s amazing stuff especially for the price. And there are a lot of professional detailers on YouTube that torture tests it vs expensive products and it either beats them all or is pretty much equal. Just around a year ago it was like 6 bucks a bottle and now it’s more then doubled in price in local stores from the publicity blowing up and people buying them out lol. I’ve been able to get 5 months of constant beading with two coats of only seal n shine and washing every 2 weeks but haven’t tested longevity with topping it off with collinite so I’m sure it’s even longer protection now.

    none so far.
Car detailing enthusiast here, not professional. I tried to dabble around with some "professional grade" stuff, and i'll tell you. At the end of the day, all i use is regular carwash soap and water, then i follow up with a wipe down of P&S Beadmaker. but doing it for about the past 1.5 years and love it. Super shiny, super glossy, super slick... just make sure to do it in well ventilated areas. I think one thing the "detailing industry" doesn't have a lot of information on, is the safety of how frequently you breath this stuff.

I used HydroSlick a few weeks ago and it seems legit. Water beads like crazy and you can spray some quick detailer and just wipe off bug splatter and bird droppings. I have hydro suds to wash it and I think I may add the jet seal after the next wash.

After using waxes for years I just tried ceramic coating for the first time. I am really happy with the results. Takes some basic cleaning and prep work but worth it. I did some research on the interweb and Nano-Bond Ceramic Coating Kit got good reviews.

Yes I do, only because I’m an old fart and have it, same few pots have been in my garage fridge (For probably 20 years now), so can’t complain about price (which was extortionate at the time) vs how long it lasts if stored appropriately. It’s a real PITA to use right though, 20 years ago nothing was better, but now there are a ton of easier and probably better products on the market. I keep meaning to try soem

Been using Meguiars gold class for a while.
Easy to use. Lasts a good while. Has both natural Carnauba wax plus synthetics in a blend.
Probably a whole lot better out there.

Dealer did the simonize glass coat treatment on mine before taking delivery. Haven't had to wash, or wax the truck yet since late feb., only hose the pollen and bird chit off with plain water. It amazing truck still looks the same as it did the first day.

Just applied Meguiar's NXT TechWax 2.0 for the first time on my low-ish mileage 2018.

    IMG_7728.jpg

Very easy to apply, and worked great on about 98% of my surface that had no bug squashes or sap drops.
    Then Wax off:

    IMG_7730.jpg

Not likely ever going to get a shine that matches some of your trucks. But PA has bugs, rain, sap, pollen, salt, potholes, snow, sleet, ... that make keeping a vehicle clean for half a week. Enjoyed seeing some of your shine.

I used this one. Not sure if available where you are. Most ceramic coatings are 9h anyway, so any brand will be fine. There are only a few brands out there though, well here anyway.

    Good luck!
