Fallen tires red dot, yellow dot?

Why do 3 of my falken tires have a yellow dot and 1 have a red dot?

From what I read. The dots are at the heaviest or lighter part of the tire(can't remember which). The dots should be lined up to the valve stem to help with balancing

 

I didn't realize it was that common.

 

Looks like the tire place I went to didn't bother to use them.

 

Any viberations in the steering wheel? If its smooth no worries, if it has any viberation, get them balanced again

 

Yellow aligns to the valve stem.
You can always tell which employees are paying attention and whom are not.

 

Or who have been properly trained.

Place I used for my solo II tire / alignment work got it right every time.

On my current genetics, Costco gets it right.

Other places not as much.

Then don't worry about it

 

Maybe they ran out of yellow.
