Wanted to see if anyone had winter road driving experiences with Falken MTs?

I’ve read a few articles where they said they did fairly well but not sure how creditable those articles are

Thanks, I’ll look into that. That’s the general consensus on MTs but I’m curious if that consensus is an old understanding of MTs.

One of the articles addresses this specifically saying that today’s MTs are much different/better than the older style MTs in regards to winter driving

eh I kinda doubt it....the rubber compound is typically much harder in MTs and therefore not suitable for cold temperature on-road driving. They could have added more siping depending on the tire, but if you take a close look at the tread patterns of winter tires they're about as opposite as you can get from the chunky MTs.

If it helps, I've got Cooper ST Maxx which are MT/AT hybrids and I wouldn't trust them here in MN or back home in PA in winter road conditions.

Thanks for posting the video. I too am interested in hearing others experience with these. A buddy is about to buy a Gladiator and I'm taking his stock Wildpeak MTs off of his hands as he upgrades to 35s.

I have about 20k miles on my wildpeak m/t. All road conditions here in Pa. Mud, snow, highway. I really like them. I'm already over half tread.

Considering you are 20k in and half tread left, would you go with them again?

Absolutely. As long as you keep them rotated every 5k miles, they are pretty quiet for an m/t. I'm running a 265/75r16 right now and I'm leaning towards these again but in a 285 when they are wore out.
