In the market for some new tires. Thinking about going up to 265/75/16 as well. I’m looking for kind of a Swiss Army Knife of tires. At the moment, I’m torn between the Falken Wildpeak AT3W and the Yokohama Geolandar AT G015, but I’m open to suggestions from anyone with experience with different ATs. I’d say 80% of my drive time is on the road, but I do spend the weekends in the mountains. Dirt roads, mud, leaves, creeks, etc. I live in the Southern US, so snow isn’t really a factor. I understand there are sacrifices when running ATs, but what I’m looking for is stability in previously mentioned terrain and wet roads, with the best possible tread life when running on roads. Thanks in advance!

I have had the Wildpeaks, same size, for a year now with around 18 k on them with no complaints. They do great off road or on with no road noise that I can tell. They do great on dry or wet pavement. I've been offroad with them too in mud, gravel and even some snow with no slippage issues.

What part of Georgia are you in, I'm up in the North Georgia area.

Wildpeaks were a great buy a year ago but they have went up about $30 since I bought them back in March '20

I can still get 5 Wildpeaks cheaper than 4 K02s lol. And I work with a guy that’s getting rid of his K02s after 1k miles. And he uses them in a similar application as I would be. So they’re a no for me. And I’m in the Chatsworth area. About 40mins from Blue Ridge

    Same as everybody else...
I've never had an issue with my WP's, they have about 30k on em. Not to many places to wheel in Southern Md but I travel farm roads to go shooting or fishing. No problem in mud or snow

I meant to ask you, have you noticed any drop in MPG? I’m guessing about 1-2? Because the 265/75/16 Wildpeaks are showing 55lbs ea while the Geolandars are coming in at about 41.6 (with a much lower max load).

I didnt really check mpg before putting the Wildpeaks on but usually averaged about 20-22 depending type of driving. After install I averaged in the 18's sometimes low 19's.

I had the geolander 15 in stock size, were great all around tires. Would buy again. Only negative might be thick mud but that sucks for everything tbh.

My only falken experience were Rocky Mountains and they were shit.

Get the lightweight WP 265/75r16s. I have 35k on mine, love them. Think they are closer to 42lb. Best 1st mod. Got a deal at 105 per tire. Prices are way up.

Looking at 285s and love the weight of the lighter 46lb GO15s in 17" wheel, but not available in 16. I like my stock OR wheels and cant decide next step...

Dont buy heavy E rated tires. Very happy i went with the lighter 265 WPs

    Care to elaborate?
How’s the tread life? How long have you have them? Experiences with different terrain?

    8,000 +/- miles. Scale of 1-10. 10 being excellent.

    1. Ice 9
    2. Light dry snow 9
    3. Slush of any depth 10
    4. Deep wet snow (12") 10
    5. Wet river sand 9
    6. Loose wet river gravel 9
    7. Thick gooey mud a few inches deep 7
    8. Deep watery mud 8
    9. Sloppy wet loose and soft fire roads/farm lanes 9
    10. Puncture resistance (black and honey locust thorns) 10
    11. Dry pavement 10
    12. Wet pavement 10
    13. Standing water on pavement at any speed 9
    14. Noise or lack thereof 10
    15. Ride comfort 10
    16. Gravel roads 10*

The locust thorns are no joke. The * next to gravel roads is in reference to the tires habit of picking up marble and smaller gravel and flinging them a bit more than I would like. Traction on the gravel is superb however. Tread wear may be bit faster than I would like to see. I stress MAY be faster. Too soon to tell though. These tires may be the best AT tire I've found for my needs to date. I can't believe I'm going to say this but excluding mud, I am finding that for me the GO15's are outperforming the GY Duratracs I've owned. In mud Duratracs absolutely out perform the GO15's. I don't rock crawl so I can't offer any help there. I lost maybe 1 mpg over the stock GY Adventure AT's. I REALLY like these tires (GO15 not the Adventures).

I have not gotten stuck or have been let down by these tires in way. The tires just go through it all and find traction no matter what the surface is.

I agree with this.. I have 10K (kilometres) and have had the Wildpeaks in the snow, gravel, mud and lots of highway time. They are quiet on and off road and handle the snow pretty well. Icy conditions were about a 7 out of 10.

I also was luckily talked out of a LT version. Saved money, saves weight, and is no issue for me running an RSI Smartcap and surf gear, kids, dogs and such. I don't tow, so I can't speak to that at all.
