The OEM Goodyear Adventure with Kevlar tires on my 2020 OR are nearing end of life after 36,000 miles. Considering the Falken Wildpeak AT3/W as a replacement. The Wildpeak is about 5 lbs heavier per tire. I will be staying at 265/70r16. No other new mods, just changing tires. For anyone who has simply moved from the OEM GY to the Wildpeaks (and kept OEM sizing) found a hit to mpg from the weight difference? It doesn’t seem like a big weight difference but who knows. Thanks.

    You’ll take a roughly 1-2 mpg hit.

I have factory size KO2 and with a change from the stock GY "all-terrains" to anything more aggressive you will lose MPG. Its not just the weight but the increased rolling resistance

I had Falkens once with their Rocky Mountain line. Never again.

I’m on my second set and I’ve never noticed a difference. I took a 600 mile trip today an averaged a little over 19 mpg but the best I’ve gotten doing the speed limit was 21 mpg.

I've been running WP AT3 for a few years now and i have no issues with them.
They haven't hurt my fuel economy either.
Did a little road trip last week, tank average for the first 300 miles was 24.8 mpg. Average speed was 75mph.

Wildpeaks were definitely not loud in my experience. Changed size so I can't comment on mpg.

I went up to 265/75/16 with Wildpeaks and love them. I didn’t notice any mpg loss nor are they loud on the interstate nor are they a cheap Walmart tire. I believe they are a Japanese tire which have worked out perfectly for me and thousands of others. Some don’t like them the story is the same with pretty much all the brand name tires get what you want and will work for you.

I've had them for about 10K miles so far and haven't noticed any difference in MPG. Didn't notice any noise from them either. Speedometer is 2MPH off at 54MPH(265/75/16).

I went from OEM GY's to SL rated Wildpeaks in 17's. I never noticed much of a noise difference, but the Wildpeaks were slightly louder a touch. As for MPG, best MPG avg for a tank I have ever gotten in 6 1/2 years of ownership were on my Wildpeaks, 19.4 MPG. 19.3 was the best I ever got with the stock GY's, so...

You are the only person out of hundreds with that experience. Wildpeaks are an awesome tire, hence them being so popular.

Loved my wildpeaks in 265/75-16. Moved to a 33 skinny tire- 255/85-16 Mud terrain KM3s and hate them. Cannot wait to get back to wildpeaks- this time with 285/75-16.

edit- didn’t notice much mpg difference when I first moved to the wildpeaks. And back then, they were cheap and I got great performance out of them, on and off road, and with snow.

I took a small hit in mileage, so much better on snow and ice. Didn't notice a noise difference.
