Hmm.. If I'm not mistaken this size has been around for a while, except production stopped. Rumor was Falken was going to start selling this size on 10ply after quarter 2, so yes by new probably meaning they're are back in stock.

Don't forget to ask that are Tires DOT

I just bought a set from tirebuyer and waiting for them to be delivered. I went with these because they’re C-rated and I didn’t want the extra weight of a 10-ply.

Thanks Mike! It was rubbing in reverse and at about 50% lock on the driver side with the castor at about 2.5. I’m not sure if getting the castor above 3 would’ve avoided the rub or not. UCAs cleared with no prob with my wheels having -4.5BS 30D671AD-4FCA-4FB3-AABC-7952D67182AE.jpg2F3D6EDC-FEBC-4653-89A3-EEAE6DE52ECB.jpg

Thats not bad just a little lift would make it clear probably. Ive got my lift sitting in the garage just deciding on wheels and tires still. Ive been set on the falkens just not sure what size i want to do exactly 285/70/17 and 265/70/18 are the two falken I have been thinking about, still p rated and light weight. The 275 could be a winner though because its an Lt but c rated so and looks more aggressive than the p rated.
    Are those rotiform wheels?

Yeah, these LTs have that aggressive look and look even better in person. I was thinking of going 285, but didn’t want to deal with the possibility of having to cut and chop. I’m glad to have gotten these Falkens in 275. Wheels are from FN Wheels:

I was looking at these tires but falken has them listed at ~55lb's. That is the same as the E rated 275/70R17 KO2's. Are there any lighter AT tires in this size?

If you scroll down to size and spec's it gives the sizes and ratings.

I've been trying to decide. The best you can do with a passenger falken wildpeak on a 17" wheel is 285/70 and it's 50lbs vs 58lbs in LT version.

Ya, thats what I was looking at. It just seems ridiculous that these are C-rated and weigh 57lbs. I might as well get the extra plys of the E rated KO2's at the same weight

    Old thread, but...

Can someone share the tread width of the Wildpeak in 275/70r17 or 265/70r17? Both are listed with the same overall width, but Falken doesn't appear to list a spec for tread width.

I'd like to compare to my existing tires (265/70r17 KO2's) to make an educated guess on whether the Falkens would be more or less likely to rub on my particular setup.

    Thanks in advance.

I'd wager the Wildpeaks are more likely to rub.

I had a 265/70/17E Wildpeak on our work Canyon for a few days then went to a Cooper ATP in the same size. The Wildpeak rubbed the frame pretty good and the Cooper didn't. I swapped the Coopers for KO2s in the same size and load range as the Wildpeaks and they only very slightly rub. I.e. they seem narrower or shorter than the Wildpeak which reduced the rubbing. Moving up to a 275 will make them more likely to rub than your current KO2s. While the section width may be the same between 265 and 275, the tread width will be higher in the 275 and they are obviously taller.

If it's not too much inconvenience, a tread width measurement would be helpful to me.

    Thanks
