I stopped the truck immediately, popped the hood and saw coolant everywhere. Traced the spray to the firewall and this is what I found. Both hose clamps appear to have been left in the locked open position from the factory. These two hose clamps are the only two that don’t have a blue mark on them indicating they were double checked on the assembly line. My truck has 8660 miles on it and has only ever been serviced by the dealership’s service department for the 5k service. Has anyone had or heard of this issue in the past? Should I be worried of damage done due to overheating? I think I caught the warning light as soon as it popped up, but can’t be sure. And who should be held liable? Essentially it appears to have been an oversight during assembly, and although the dealer replaced the the coolant and clamps, and claims everything is ok, it still makes me a bit uneasy knowing that as new as the truck is, I can’t help but worry that this has shortened the lifespan of the engine. Don’t know if I’m just being paranoid, or if I should be legitimately concerned. Any advice is appreciated.

Call corporate and voice your concern. They may give you a free extended warranty. A few members have got that deal from low trans fluid on early builds.

You’re just being paranoid. If you stopped when the truck warned you then no damage was done and there’s nothing to worry about.

You should have drove it longer. You’d probably get a whole new truck lol. In all honesty you didn’t damage anything. Robot was on break during your truck passing by on the line.

well if you pull off and shut down as soon as you saw the high temp warning the chance of engine damage is low, proper documentation as it appears you did and keeping a calm cool head with the approach to the Dealer first just state your concern about engine life being compromised and ask for a written extended warranty for the engine and just tell them that you just plain do not feel comfortable without it due to this event.
If the Dealer says no keep calm and get the reason from them and and don't waste time with war of words with them and take it to the next level up. Might start out with the sales person who sold it to you and go from there personally I think time is wasted by going to the service writer because his primary job is to bring $$ in and to say "No" to anything that takes $$ away.

Weird these pinch clamps come with a reddish clip that's pulled off when installed. It must have been a zero f given kind of a day
