not a big fan of fabtech...

Still... I lost out to 'da "cheap ~n~ easy", and purchased one of their tire mounts.

Mostly because I needed to get the spare better secured
and anything has got to be better then the tangled mess of web straps I've been using.

or maybe 'cause it was only a $ 100.00 and was still new :notsure:

whatever possessed me... here it is

I welded the original small feet to three 5" X 5" plates
so that they would span properly the ribs in the bed's floor
( ^ the original Ftech feet may have been for some other truck ? ) :notsure:
backing plates were made to span the ribs correctly underneath.
Nylocks were used to secure the bolts

put some rubber backing on each mount plate...
so's incase they corrode some... the don't stain the carpet terribly

was really a simple thing, with little fab work involved
but it should minimize the clutter of using straps to hold chit
    so that counts for sumthang

    pics of the final...

There was a guy selling it on ebay... lives local to me.
He was unwilling to ship and was listed as pick up only.
Sooo... I sent him a ebay PM offer of purchase with my phone # attached.
He obviously wanted to be rid of it... and with little hassle.

He did mention that it was new and worth more...
    But I really didn't care.
    If I didn't get it for the $ 100. that I offered...
I'd have made something from scratch.

I have come across two others (used) for sale...
    $ 50. and another for $ 75.
The $ 50. one was listed here, older style.
but the seller said yes... then no
then claimed to have sold it locally to another.
Just as well... I dislike peeps that call me bro or brah

Here's the lowest prices I found searching, for the FTT10002B
