Got some Titan branded 1.5" spacers and a set of extended lug nuts. I noticed the lug nuts slightly extend out of the spacers about a 1/16". I'm planning to grind the lug nuts down a bit to sit inside the spacers, is this common? The spacers came with lug nuts but are the short cone type. I want to get more thread engagement with the extended ones. My main concern is if I'll get contact with the drum/hubs.

Most spacers come with open-end lugs. Im not sure if the heat from the grinder would compromise the strength of the stud.

Not going to grind the studs, just the extended lug nuts. Plan is make them a little shorter so they sit flush or under the spacer bores.

Are you using extended lug nuts to hold the spacer to the hub?

If they are still longer than the standard open ended nuts they ship with it you'll be fine, take off whatever protrudes so it's flush or just below. You still have more threads engaged than the standard lugs ever did.

this is my thought as well. I wanna say they utilize at least as many threads as the stock lugs.. Thanks for your reply.

What Big Red 2nd Gen said. Just make sure nothing protrudes above the spacer surface and you will be fine.
