Hey, fellas. I'm currently exploring truck cap options for my 3rd Gen :)

I've made the decision to go with Snugtop because of their DURABILITY (hinges are 2x beefier than competitors & they offer a reinforced-shell package) and QUALITY and clean STYLE (especially after you de-badge it, unlike a Leer, with its recessed logo).

At first, I was really into the Snugtop Rebel, which is a more-or-less popular choice. I guess it's like a Snugtop 'TRD Pro'—the only thing I don't like about the Rebel is its window-to-cap ratio, it's a bit stubby and makes the C-pillars and D-pillars really thick, and to be honest, it's not really a problem.

Just 3 days ago, I discovered the Snugtop Xtra Vision—a Snugtop Rebel, but better (for around $500 more). "Xtra Vision" means its side windows are wider, making the C and D-pillars more proportionate, like a Leer 100. It also comes standard with REMOVABLE mesh screens for the sliding side windows unlike the fixed ones on the Rebel.

With that said, I haven't found a SINGLE image of a Snugtop Xtra Vision on a 3rd Gen Tacoma—I've only seen them on 2nd Gens. If anyone, with a 3rd Gen, has a Snugtop Xtra Vision, I'd love to hear about it! Pictures would be awesome, too!!

Sorry for making you read all this.

I ordered a SnugTop 6 weeks ago... Should be here in a couple weeks now.
I really don't have ... Don't remember actually... The model name.
All I knew/wanted was I wanted the one that rose above the cab roof-line about 4" ... And had the feature where you could close/lock the back window from the INside.
It has a couple little 'extras' to it ... (Oh! You're paying in cash right now sir? Well in THAT case, I'm going to throw in the deluxe wizz-bang and the LED dome lights for FREE!!' ... LOL...
I'll post pics when its installed ...

What's going on with the random capitalization? I felt like I was reading an advertisement.

Oh ok, I see. That wouldn't be a SnugTop Xtra Vision, but I know what you're talking about. I believe it's called a "SnugTop Hi-Liner".
Great to hear that you got some free extras upon paying cash!
Nevertheless, I think we'd all love to see some pictures of it, inside and out! Please talk about its quality too.

Haha, I was debating on whether I wanted to keep it or not. I just wanted my post to not look like the small-print section on an advertisement. I guess it kinda adds emphasis and makes finding your way through the text a bit easier. Now that you mention it, it kinda does feel like I was reading an advertisement. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing . . .
