Hello! I'm a total noob to this forum and to doing mods to my Prerunner so if there is already a thread on this someone please shove me in the right direction. I searched beforehand but was not able to find much about extremeterrain.com. I am looking for a brush guard for my bumper and have found one on this site but dont know much about the reputation of this site. Any insight or other suggestions about reputable sights? Eventually I will get and ARB bumper and wench but for now baby steps...

He is not being a dick.
Brush guards for the most part suck.
Impacts Do more damage to engine and front end Than not having one.
    Look at the mounting points.
Now think of it taking an impact.
Id save up untill you can get a real Armor bumper.

Thanks! This is the kind of reply I was looking for. Telling me to do something with out explaining is not useful. I started off by saying I'm new at this, looking for guidance. I appreciate your response. I do eventually want to replace my bumper, but it's not in my cards just yet(just had a baby girl and already have taken her off roading. She slept through it! It was a beginner trail, nothing hardcore) so I am looking at my options.

One of the best ways to navigate around here (for me anyways) seems to be Google search type tacomaworld.Com brush guards or whatever topic you are wondering about...
And I find tons of threads with so much info I am yet to start a thread b/c every topic already has many threads..

Thank you so much for the tip!!

I am interested in a brush guard but more interested in the reputation of Extremeterrain.com I searched the forum to see if anyone knows if it's a good site to search products but I can not find a thread. Maybe I'm not searching right??

Thank you!!! I am looking forward to the mods and gear that I foresee in our future. My husband is WAY AHEAD of me with his 4runner and I am trying to learn on my own with his help occassionally). Our daughter River already watches daddy work on the 4runner! And she already loves the trails.

I ended up finding a Westin brush guard with wench mount second hand. I think it will do for now until I can afford a bumper.
