I've got 265/75/r16 Duratracs with about 6k miles on them on a stock 3rd gen and they have taken me places the stock tires would have cried including an Idaho winter. A little road noise but with the volume up barely noticeable. I have not run any other tires to compare them to but I enjoy them.

Thank you for that information. Any regrets not going bigger or are you happy with that size? Will you eventually lift and run bigger?

After extensive research winter was inbound and it was necessary to get tires before a lift was in the budget so that's what'd fit comfortably without rubbing. But I've got bilstien 5100s sitting waiting to be installed so I'm possibly going to sell the tires to fund larger tires.

You going to go with Duratracs again? 285 or 255 for the next size up?

I will probably end up with duratracs again as far as size I'm undecided

for the PNW duratracs are hard to beat. They do great in snow and are pretty quiet until they get down there in tread life.

The ST MAXX is definitely more comparible than the Pro's to duratracs. I have a set of duratracs I just pulled off and will be replacing with ST MAXX's. one because the size I am looking for is not made by GY unfortunately. And two, I want to give the MAXX's a shot.

Nice I was about to rock that size on my GX470 but then decided to sell and get a taco! Good luck with the 34s, that will be rad.

Same here. I currently have no complaints with my Duratrac’s and I’m about 38,000 miles into them.

I’ll likely give Maxx’s a try on the next go around just for something different not because I’m in anyway dissatisfied with the Duratracs.

Sticking with the 265/75 or going up a size?

Either tall skinny 255 85r16 or if I decide to buy 17” wheels, I’d go with the Goldilocks tire 285 75r17.

Honestly I really want 34’s but don’t want to shell out money for new wheels or lose money selling my 16” F5’s so I may end up with option 1.

If I had a do-over I’d buy 17” wheels right off the bat because there are more tire size choices.

True but the additional .5" of sidewall is nice
