    Hi TW gang--

I'm just wondering if anybody has bought/and is happy with Carhartt's custom tailored dash covers for our first gens? My understanding is that Covercraft makes them with Carhartt material but after combing the forums/Youtube I can only find people who have reviews on Carhartt's seat covers.

Here is the link I'm talking about: https://www.covercraft.com/us/en/product/carhartt-ltd-edition-custom-dash-cover.DMLC

Any experience from anyone? Seems a bit steep in price and I can't verify what material it is (squishy sponge-like vs Carhartt jacket material), but I want to help preserve my dash. If not with Carhartt, I can go with another brand (I've seen a few threads with success stories) but if anyone has used this I would really appreciate hearing from you!

Man that looks pretty clean, I would think anything under $100 to protect our dash is a good deal. I have yet to even read a post about gen 1 dash cracking, Japanese made quality after 25 years in the making maybe

Look at the bad reviews on the site. Crap quality. Poor fit. 2 plus months for delivery. Terrible customer service.

Only issue I have with the dash is the glare from it onto the windshield /sunny days, and the winter time creak against the windshield. No cracks though.

Buy the Carhartt dog bed instead. 5/5 stars.

Yeah I saw the 2 month thing too and I was turned off :/ Also saw some of the negative reviews but it always helps to see if any Taco-specific people have installed, ya know? Looks like this is a sleeper product though. I'll likely pass.

Ha, I'll keep that in mind!

Buy the material make it yourself.

Install with something that can be removed easily if needed.

4.4/5 stars with 188 reviews I’d say you got pretty good chances there

On their own site, no real surprise their own product has generally good reviews.

It would be more telling to see reviews from an interdependent site.

Little of this, little of that.
Don't you just love it when someone revives a dead thread from 4 years ago? lol

Anyways, did you pull the trigger on this? I'm not sure if I need one but I just saw an ad and was curious if people like it.
